    Try not to overthink it It’s not as bad as your brain is making it out to be. You’ll be able to be up walking, eating and drinking sooner than you think! Just keep up the with regular pain relief even if you aren’t in any pain, it keeps the levels in your body in a therapeutic range!

    How did it go, Shawn? I had mine the day before you. Doing great so far and home now but had a very rough first 24 hours in HDU trying to manage my nausea and vomiting. Pain has been generally ok. I had a shower yesterday with my nurse sat outside the door - waterproof dressings! It felt amazing. I’d ask your doctor or nurse if you can, it all depends on what dressings and closures you had (I’m an RN in the UK) There’s a lot of really nice things you can have on the liquid stage. My favourite so far is a thin mango and orange smoothie.
