Hey BG, the new hair is working so far. I'm able to style it myself and feel pretty good about it. Getting closer to my liquid diet days and ejoying everything I can before then!

I'll throw in the short version. I did start a blog in May and the link is below my signature. Feel free to get to know me better there! My name is Kathi and I'm 49?! WHAT? I know, but I'm young at heart and in spirit. I have a wonderful boyfriend and we are hoping to become even more active once my band is in place. I've been divorced over 20 years and have two lovely daughters who are 23 and 27! I was never really fat growing up and joined the Air Force out of high school. The weight wouldn't go away after my second daughter and that's when I got out of the military, just wanted to be a mom. I grew up in Miami, FL and have lived in lots of great places but I"m happy to call the Dallas area of Texas home for now. I have a great government job and I'm looking forward to my surgery on July 20! Kathi

I'm a dirt track afficionado also. We normally would be there tonight, but with the torrential rains this week, we are too waterlogged to race. I only watch with my BF, but we do have our favorites and his good buddy and the buddy's neice race mini stocks. What makes you a dirt track diva?
Good luck on your surgery, Monday is my oldest's birthday...I can't wait to hear all about it. I'll have a 2week pre liquid diet too and I get banded on July 20! Best of luck to you. kathi

Ohh, BG my friend, you are always so 'the voice of reason' and I know you'll be able to present your case to the DR and get a small fill. It is soo weird how they differ across the country. I mentioned there was a women in the support group who was banded in April, maybe a week or so before or after you and she's had 3 fills and the next one is early July! WTH?? Be strong and get back to the plan, you'll do great. YEAH PENGUINS!!! Two major championships back to back, first the Steelers now the Pens! Whooohoooo!

Wow, I"m Kathi also! I stumble into the friends thingy, I'll look around again and try to befriend you.
I am all done, I start the pre-op diet 2 weeks prior to July 20 or the 6th it seems. I started quite some time ago, last Aug and made my first appt in Sept. I've done all the required stuff and my insurance is paying. I'm sooo excited and can't wait. I'm 49 and need to be healthier too, so I can live long and torture my girls long into their adulthood!

Hey Ya'll, July 20 here as well! Yipppeee! There is another thread regarding July 09 on here where we've talked about picking a name! Ya'll should check it out and weigh in! I'm finally at the starting gate of this process too, and started last year in August going to my first seminar. It's been a long wait, but one I'm sure has been worth it and I can say I am prepared now. Bring on the Band! Kathi -

YeeeHaaaaw for us and 7/20! I went to my first seminar last year on Aug 28! I had an insurance change in Jan that slowed things a bit, but I am finally nearing the finish line! Thanks for befriending me! We'll have to compare notes. I have a blog also, check it out!
