    Tea actually does satisfy some cravings

    I drink a ton of tea nowadays. Pre op it was a cup here and there, but now I have 3-4 cups a day. One caffeinated during the afternoon and herbal or decaf while I’m cooking dinner and after dinner in the wind down part of my night. It has replaced a void that I didn’t realize may have been snacking before.

    What do you put in your coffee?

    I use premade protein shakes as creamer in hot coffee. In cold brew I use sugar free syrups and almond milk. Really the only change from pre surgery is the shakes vs creamer in hot coffee. I need the extra protein most days, so it works for me.

    Big Boned…🤔

    Oh yes… I was the first girl born in a family where all of the men are built like linebackers. I was told I was big boned my whole life because my mother was comparing me to my dad and uncles. She was 5’7” 120lbs most of my life. I didn’t get all of my genes from my dad and I’M A GIRL!

    Taking meds post op

    Yeah, they told me 15 minutes in the beginning and then just the other day during my 6 week post op appointment they said 10 minutes between each. It’s so exhausting.
  5. Hi all, I’m 6 weeks post op from my VGS. I take 9 pills in the morning and 7 at night, plus vitamin chewables and calcium chews. Taking meds takes me FOREVER every day with taking one pill at a time and then the 10 min wait in between each one. By the time I finish my morning meds it’s lunch time and half my day is gone. Will I ever be able to take all my meds at once again? This is killing me!
  6. I was diagnosed with fibro in 2012 and I had VSG 12/20/2022. So far I’ve lost 62lbs (since starting my program) and I haven’t had much of a change in my fibro symptoms even with cymbalta and lyrica, but I’m still hopeful it will change some as I lose more.

    Jealousy from others?

    I mostly get jealousy from my mother. She is not a great person, nor mother… She seems to think it’s a competition because I’m losing so much weight. She’s not even obese… It is infuriating and I wish she could just be happy for me. I just do my best to let her comments roll off.

    Stevia = Nausea

    I threw it away, so I’m not sure, but I will definitely be paying better attention to the ingredients from now on!

    Stevia = Nausea

    Hi all! I had my VSG December 20th. Today I tried a stevia sweetened 0 cal drink and it made me super nauseous. Anyone else have this issue with stevia?
