Had an unexpected NSV today. I went to the doc and they had me pee in a cup. So, I did and I COULD SEE THE CUP as I did it. No more just sort of guessing where to put it. lol

broth saved me. I couldn't tolerate sweet things, so shakes were out.

When they brought me into the operating room they introduced me to the robot! 😂

A variation of the ranch with yogurt is you can put ranch and cottage cheese in a blender, thin with milk until you like the consistency.

At one week post op, I thought for sure I had made a huge mistake. I felt like I'd never be able to eat again. I was able to eat again, and it gets easier every day. 😊

I was able to sleep on my side the second night (didn't start that way but woke up in that position with no discomfort). Then a couple of days later, I woke up on my belly, again with no discomfort. So, I was able to sleep pretty much normally after the first week. 🤷‍♀️

When we loose this weight as females our hormones go haywire. Even old me has nausea around food and I can tear up at any slightest thing, just like a pregnant woman. This is also something you will need to factor in because this could make you extra emotional.
I do agree with your husband, you are sabotaging yourself if you are eating wrongly. I also know you are in a bad place and are grabbing comfort where you can. Try and give yourself a set time to mourn your marriage and try to eat as best you can. You may never get what you need from this man, will this be enough? only you know this. I have a man who doesn't tell me he loves me [ except when I am thousands of miles away on holiday alone ] He loved me fat and now he loves me thin, my intuition tells me this. In the 50+ years I have been with him he has never complimented me on my appearance. [ or said a negative] Its enough for me, it took me years to grow that skin though .
Whatever you do from now on forwards, make sure its for yourself and your children.

I do not think that this is a thing.

whey Protein instantly cooks when you mix it with something hot. You have to wait until it cools down a bit to mix it in. You can try mixing before you cook and stir as you cook it.

Me, me, me. I have to put a pillow between my knees now, I hate the bone on bone feeling. Jeez what a wonderful problem to have.

omg I haven’t even lost a full 30lbs yet and I struggle to get comfy in bed because my knees knock together. Goodness what will happen with my butt goes too?? 😭

Earplugs!

Best ever way to get the surgery. It’s gentler. There is less torque on your body and the incisions are so much smaller. A doctor will perform the surgery. It was virtually painless for me when I had my RNYGB.

I actually looked for it when they wheeled me into the OR since I watched a couple YouTube videos and knew what it looked like. I saw the seat and controls way over in a corner out of the way of everything. WAAAAY away from where I assumed all the action was going to take place. Now every time I think about my surgery I just envision my big belly sticking up in the middle of the room and my Doctor sitting over there in the corner with VR goggles controlling robot arms.... 😄

Same same. No curve back there whatsoever. Have to always use a pillow to sit on or it hurts to stand up after sitting down.

My only big disappointment about the surgery is that I don't recall seeing the robot. I really wanted to see one in person (and remember it). 😄

My butt has been reduced to just my pelvic bone, really. Flat as a pancake, deflated, bony butt. I look forward to plastics. That's all.
