  4. Can I eat puréed soup this early. They have so many diets floating around. My nutritionist said clear liquids till day 22.... I think this is crazy. Will I damage my sleeve if I eat some puréed soup?

  7. Had surgery yesterday morning.. First day was a little rough but I have a high BMI so it was expected. Hospital Florence is nice and everyone is very professional and it's very clean. I had some pain the first night but no nausea. I feel much much better today. I take my leak test tomorrow and then off to the hotel. I can't say enough of how this has been a great experience. I took a close friend with me and every room has a full size bed in it. We met people from Switzerland, Ireland and Canada. This is a trusted hospital. I can't wait to have the drain removed so I can move around a little better. Dr. Kelly did tell me the only reason for the drain was due to my high BMI of 55. More updates to come.
  8. I was picked up from the airport by Dr. Kelly's wife and Anna in their private vehicle. I was met at the Hotel lucerna by Dr. Kelly and his son. He put my mind to ease about the surgery I'm having in the morning. He is a class act. The hotel is amazing. Will put update tomorrow after surgery.
  9. Im getting my new stomach in two days. I'm excited to catch the plane. I'm so ready to get this surgery over and get started loosing weight. I can't wait to get back to life without having to judge if I can fit into a chair with arms or to sit in a booth.
  10. I'm being sleeved on 2/15/12 by Kelly. I'll be happy to give an update and send some pics if you want.

  13. I'm being sleeved by Kelly on the febuary 15th. I'm very excited to. I had no time to plan. Someone paid and booked my surgery .....so I imidiatly started the post op diet. Good luck.
  14. I have my date with Dr. Kelly. February 15. This is a valentines date I will never forget. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I booked strait with Kelly. Spoke to him directly. Very nice guy. I'm a pastor and a few friends and family blessed me by paying for my surgery and travel. I'm also a missionary and my last trip to India almost did me in emotionally and physically. Kids followed me down the street laughing at how big I was. I was really convicted about my weight and realized I couldn't keep serving in the mission field weighing 400 pounds. I was always very active but Soon after getting back from India both my knees started giving me major trouble. That's when I decided to have this surgery. I cant wait till next July. I'm going back to India hopefully wearing a few sizes less. Anyone gonna be sleeved on the 15th.
  15. Im going to have VSG next month. I have allot of problems with both of my knees. They swell and hurt. Sometimes I have a hard time walking. Will loosing weight help this? Thanks
  16. Ive decided to have surgery and I'm going to use Trish as a point person. Dr. Ponce or Kelly will do my surgery. How do you send payment to these guys and how secure is it? How do you really know who you are speaking to.?
  17. Where do you stay after surgery? And how much is it?
  18. Garcia is looking like the Dr. I'm going to use.
  19. Has anyone used Mexico surgery solutions to book your surgery?
  20. I'm nervous about Mexico. Someone told me that on these boards are people working with doctors and are not Truely VSG clients. I've read just about every post on this board and I feel comfortable about it ,,than I talk to someone ad get nervous again. I have about 5,000 to spend total and I've read a couple horror stories about surgeries that were this cheap. I want to go with dr. Aceves but he is a little out of my price range.
