    *TMI* WARNING *TMI*

I didn't know about the serve constipation. I've been struggling so bad trying to pass this lumpy stool. NOTHING seems to be working, had to leave work early. I'm in sooooo much pain.

I'm in the 2nd week of my 2 weeks pre-op liquid diet.

Do anyone have any suggestions? I might not survive this.

I have heard great things about magnesium citrate as well and also Smooth Move tea with senna.

Thank you so much for your response. I'm so sorry you're dealing with an site infection, when this is hard enough. I hope for your quick healing. I do feel the same way you do...like everyone else seems to be all good and I'm still struggling.

You guys aren't alone. I thought for sure at my appointment today I was going to end up back in the hospital. I was so happy when he told me it was a hematoma. Infections stink though, I hope you heal quickly. A friend of mine who had surgery last week too, has a yeast infection and isn't able to keep down her Protein well. We have been brainstorming. Slow and steady. Feel better.

Surgery is tomorrow. I’m terrified. Anyone on the same boat? I hugged my kid a little bit tighter than usual and I am ready to get to bed. Congrats to all who have gone through it and good luck to the rest of us . ❤️

I went through that last week and now I am kicking myself for worrying so much. The first few days are painful but it is so much easier now. I start pureed foods in a day :) Surgery 9/12 Good Luck, you got this.

Hi September Friends! Question...I had my RNY on 9/14/22 and am doing pretty well for the most part. The only issue is that I'm still having quite a bit of pain on my left side, near the largest incision. It's not the incision that hurts, it internal. Anyone else experience pain that seems to be lingering? Or is it maybe normal?

I have had this since Saturday to the point I couldn't breathe well. Messing with my diaphragm. I went for my follow up today. I had my GVS on 9/12. I have a hematoma. It was causing me to burp a lot too. My doctor said it is caused by swelling and it is a blood blister. He pointed to my incision nearby and it was a little yellowish but not very prominent. I felt a lot better after talking to him and it does seem like little by little it is getting better. I don't know if this is what you have too but if it is, it will pass.

It says liquid..but then goes right into the Protein too. I have conflicting info also, so it makes it confusing. Thanks for the info makes me feel better

This has all been super confusing for me and I wish my doctor's office would have explained a lot more than they did. I watched that seminar yesterday and it has really helped. (Jessica Snyder Pre-operative nutrition) It said to try to drink 4 oz of Water every 15 minutes. You just constantly have the water next to you. Drink 2-4 oz of Protein 6 x daily. I am also taking a LiquaCel one time daily and it bumps 16 grams up. One of the Protein Drink smoothies that I love and it is super easy is: almond milk, pbfit powder, vanilla Protein Powder and a dash of cinnamon. I tried a yogurt based on Friday and I was super sick on Saturday so going to hold off for that one. I drink Bone Broth for a lot of my meals. I like Kettle and Fire.

I had pain/pressure under my diaphragm around that time too, but it showed up when I was either reclining or going to bed. It worried me but it went away and hasn't been back for a week, so assume it was the last of the gas in my chest.

Today is a bit better. I am back to putting everything into myfitnesspal and my Protein is okay. I was super dehyrdrated though, so that could have been some of it as well.

  7. Yesterday (Day 6) I woke up with a horrible pain on the left under my diaphragm. It is easing up today but it was hard to even breathe. I was so scarred that I was leaking. I'm not and it eased up today, but I was definitely shaken. I ended up listening to a 2-hour seminar on what to expect and reading a whole book. What I have come to realize is that everyone does things so differently. My follow up is Tuesday, I have so many questions. Struggling to get enough Water and have lost 12 pounds already since surgery date. I found this pre-surgery class super helpful: It is on Youtube Pre-operative Nutrition Class by Jessica Snyder (I am not affiliated nor know these people. I just found it helpful).

  8. I had surgery on the 12th and the first night was horrible. I was doing okay, not getting enough Water, but doing okay, until yesterday. I don't know if I saw what it was like when you drink something wrong, but I woke up yesterday with a huge pain under my diaphragm. It felt like trapped air and was hard to breath. I couldn't eat or drink much yesterday. Today it is better, still some pain but not as bad. I read a whole book on surgery yesterday and watched a 2 hour seminar.
