  1. My surgery was 9/12, so 10 days before yours. My energy comes and goes. I do notice that it is getting better every day.
  2. I can have it, I just didn't like the way it tasted.
  3. I felt that way I was able to eat cream of wheat for the first time, so good.
  4. It is a recipe on Pinterest under soft bariatrics. Creamy Chicken Casserole. It is super easy.
  5. Don't worry it is coming. I am on soft foods as of tomorrow. I am in the minority I know, but I didn't like the ricotta bakes much.
  6. This is creamy chicken casserole soft bariatrics from pinterest.
  7. I bought a cookbook called Southern Keto and it has an awesome taco soup recipe in it. I am leaning towards soft foods though. I made it and then blended it down to pureed. Soooo good. Making it again this week. My family eats it not blended. I am also making a recipe from pinterest right now. Look at soft foods and then blend.
  8. I froze the premier pumpkin spice in ice cube trays. It worked okay.
  9. Thanks, on some level I knew that. It's just it is fluctuating up 4lbs ad that scared me. It's funny because I know that I have to step away from the scale, it is just so hard to do.
  10. You have a very low starting weight compared to many. Stay in touch with your doctor/nutritionist and see what they say. Track food.
  11. I have never heard of a mini sleeve. Welcome
  12. I watched that after surgery too and it definitely did help for me to understand what is going on.
  13. Having a day today. My doctor warned me my hormones would change but this is the first time I feel it. My weightloss is starting to slow down, which is completely reasonable. I just hate seeing it. No one should be losing over a pound a day, so you can see how unrealistic I am being. I guess I get scared that I am going to go back to struggling beyond belief to lose weight. I caught myself craving sugar for the first time yesterday and it scared me that I am going to unsuccessful.
  14. I am so happy to see this. I am 12 days out, but I do have that weak dizzy feeling still. I am so happy to see that you are overcoming it. I dislike my Calcium Citrate pills so much; I will be going with the chewable after I finish the ton I have. Right now, I use the Bariatric Melts for vitamins.
  15. I was super nervous but my doctor said that the technique he uses allow us to eat pureed faster because our stomachs do not twist at all.
  16. I get it. My transition went super smooth. Just eat slowly and not very large amounts at first. Remember not to drink 15 minutes before and 20-40 after.
  17. That is still amazing. When have we ever been able to lose 13 pounds in 11 days? I did hear that there is a common three-week stall. Sometimes it is just good to throw out the scale and weigh in monthly.
  18. If you lost 26 pounds since 8/31 that is great. We are all going to lose weight very differently because of our height and starting sizes. Also, I didn't have a pre-op diet. They had me doing South Beach. I have lost 18 lbs. since surgery but I think I am losing too fast because I am very lethargic. Also, I noticed it is starting to slow down. I am just grateful for every pound lost and will keep plugging away.
  19. I started pureed 2 days ago. I have never been so excited to have egg salad and cream of wheat. Everything has gone well.
  20. I am turning 48 soon, so close. I just had GVS and it went really well despite having an umbilical hernia to boot. I am back to work, since day 7. However, I do teach from home and sit while working. If I didn't I would say a minimum of two weeks. I tested positive for sleep apnea as well. I don't tell many people about the surgery, not because I am ashamed but rather it is like any other health issue for me, I don't go around talking about them. I tell who needs to know or I tell someone who is struggle and asks me how I am losing my weight. The first few days are super hard, and the tiredness is hard in the beginning as well. You do have to get used to prepping food differently but, this is all worth adding 10 years to my life. Down 17 lbs since surgery on the 12th.
  21. I actually made my own. I kept premier around the house, but I found them very heavy after surgery. I will do something like unsweetened vanilla almond milk, PBFit powder, vanilla protein powder and sugar free grape jam. I have several different ones. I also drank a lot of Kettle Fire Bone Broth. I went crazy getting three bariatric cookbooks and pinning tons of recipes on pinterest but I feel I was super ready. I started purees yesterday and started with egg salad, no problem. Today I am making a bunch of mini muffin ricotta bakes and going to freeze the ones I don't eat today.
  22. I am losing weight pretty quick since surgery. Today is day 10 and I am down 17 lbs. That may be a lot of this. I started some foods yesterday so hopefully that will help. Going to go for an IV infusion tomorrow.
  23. Maybe take a break from the scale for a bit and just focus on meal prep and exercise when you can. I know easier said than done. I am looking at the scale a lot too. Our bodies need healing time, even after a revision. I heard week 3 is always for most people a stall. Look in a month and see.
  24. I found making my own shakes to be a little easier than the packaged protein shakes. I also liked Kettle and Fire chicken broth a lot. I am on day 10 and I started pureed today. I made egg salad with, eggs, mayo and salt/pepper/paprika. I ate 4 tbsp total today at 2 different times (2 each time). It was heavenly. I hope your transition goes just as smooth.
