  1. Did you all hear about the 500 lb texas inmate who attempted to smuggle a gun into prison by hiding it in the 'rolls' - LOL!

I didn't hear about that, but I used to work at a doctor's office. There was a 500 pound lady that came in because of pain under one of her skin folds. They found part of a sandwich covered in mold!:( It had apparently gotten stuck in there at some point, and she didn't notice it.:(

  2. Beth-yay on the scale victory!

Fanny-knock 'em out with something sexy!

I will admit that my 20th reunion is next year. They are already having class meeting about it. My cousin (who graduated the same year/same school) is apparently in on the planning so she sends out text messages about it. I have to admit that gripes because they don't know if I am paying for text messages on my phone!?!?! Why assume? I don't plan to go the reunion anyway. I see quite a bit of my class mates around town, and we don't speak to each other. Why on earth would I pay to go see them, when they won't speak to me for free now?

  3. It gets better. I will admit that I have had 8 or 9 fills since September to get to the point where I am not startving all of the time, but I did get here. I just takes time (unfortunately). It just takes more fill for some people. One thing is for sure, they will let you come back for another fill as often as you need one you are past the 3 months after surgery. Give this new fill a week or so, if it isn't doing the job, get another one. Good luck!

  4. Slim,

Haven't you heard?: Fat people are jolly. Think Santa Claus!!

    TPG

I think I skipped that chapter in my "fat girl" manual.

    Also:

Bored woman + wine + variety of topics + a serious love for stooopid stuff =

Great one-liners and other worthless crap :smile2:

    :wub::lol::(

  5. Your IQ must be less than your BMI. On an odd Thursday. But not if you ate possum 2 days ago. That head hunger won't be a prob if you eat ALL of the possum - ears and teeff too. You cain't get no band local...got to go to one of them backwoods kinda places. Band'll look great around neck. Add some pop tops and you got yourself quite a necklace. It'll also bring in "talkin" from space. And, I KNOW your aunt's cousin's BFF. She ain't no teacher. She just says that so's she can use her paddle.

    :unsure::lol:

  6. the "new purse" - DH's wallet

DH has a tendency to lose his wallet. I cannot take any chances. I won't even hazzard a guess on how many times he has had to cancel his check card this year because he dropped it, lost it, couldn't find the wallet... You get the picture. He would leave his head behind if it wasn't attached.:smile2:

  7.:smile2: Hey isn't that the IN thing? Get the band so tight people start calling you "Salad Shooter".

Yeah, but "those people" aren't allowed here in the cool people thread, those of us who know better.. Unless, of course, Plain got drunk and loose-lipped with the secred knock and handshake again...

You know - I really feel sorry for those who just can't take responsibility for their own poor choices and who just can't hold their liquor.......tisk.tisk!

KC, I WARNED you about talking about me out of turn like that. Don't make me get all ghetto on yo azz...

Guurrllllll - don't you raise your keys at me like that. I'll speak of you and Lu and whoever else deserves it whenever I dang well please.

personal responsibilty gets SOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring; DH does call me MOE for a reason (master of excuses):(

It's a flippin' TOTE bag! I could frickin' pack for a weekend away with this thing!! I really like it tho. And the extra room may come in handy since I'm always looking for a spot to stash something til I get home.

I carry a tote bag, and it did NOT take me long to fill it up. I went from the tiny little organizer purses to this HUGE tote. I love my tote now. I could never go back to a tiny purse again.

  8. I have really been sick last night and today.. This kidney infection is just not letting up on me or something. I absolutely thought I was gonna die this morning:crying:. Thought about going to the ER. My primary called me in a rx, and I have some heavy duty pain meds to take so we will see. I may go in to see her in the office tomorrow. So I haven't felt like eating much today.

I hope you feel better. Have they thought about whether you may be passing kidney stones?

  9. G4E - my prayers are with you and your family

The rest of you sound so energetic, busy, positive and enthusiastic. Me? I ate a gallon (a real gallon, not a figure of speech gallon) of ice cream tonight for supper (and I don't like ice cream) then had about 1/2c Peanut Butter on crackers, and then washed it down with a glass of wine. Yep, I'm depressed. The sum of my exercise was washing the dishes. Don't have the interest to do anything - BAH!. So, I think I will bow out of here for a while.

    Take care everyone.

Tap-I wish that there was something that I could do to help. Just know that we are here for you no matter what. (((((hugs)))))

while i totally understand ; i hope you don't bail for too long!

    What she said!

Tap! My heart goes out to you! Sorry you are feeling so depressed. If you need to talk you can PM me if you like. We all have those times in our lives when it is not going well. I get the depression thing - been dealing with it for years!

Don't go far, we are here to support each other! (((HUGS)))

We all agree, we are here for you Tap!

  10. I love enchiladas - and this might have been the best one I have ever eaten.

Thinking about creating it and one combining chicken and a mole sauce inside the corn crepe (might even make a blue corn crepe)

And I will cover them with diced avocado!

I love mexican food - it is the one food group (yes - I consider it one) that I never have to be in the mood for.

and per dad's request - just made chocolate covered strawberries

:drool::) All of that sounds good.

  11. So what did you think of the bolognese? - Trust me try it over a slice of grilled parmesan polenta!

I thought it was fantastic! DH even liked it (shocking since he hardly ever tries new things). DS liked it some, but he couldn't get past the fact that it wasn't red like he is used to my Pasta sauces being and I think the taste of the wine threw him a little. I have to try it with the polenta. That sounds so good! I made quite a bit and froze some (that won't affect the flavor will it?).

  12. KC-you and your mom are so gorgeous! I think it is so great that you all were able to do this together. My grandmother and a cousin were both diagnosed and had surgery for BC within 2 weeks of each other. Unfortunately, they both had to have a breast removed. I get a mamo every 5 years (I had a lump a few years ago that was not cancer).

Lulu-what is cheviche? I have seen crab cakes being made on food Network, but have never attempted to make them. I think mainly because I don't think I could get enough good crab to make them.

  13. I need to hire an organizer. I have trouble getting rid of my own things. I am good at getting rid of DS's things. I am good at getting rid of my own clothes, but other things not so much. I start "organizing" and get disenchanted with the entire thing. I'll get there eventually. So what did you cook, Lulu?
