Ok My first surgery was in aug 08, my port flipped and the first week of aug. I had the port fixed. So after a few fills I am finally losing weight. About 3 lbs. a week. At surgery i was 217 i am now 187lbs. Only problem is everything I eat comes bck up! I have a bunch of sliming issues LOL...i am wondering if I am too full ??

Man they r nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!! I use flintstones complete. Much better. Just take 2 daily :rolleyes2: my nutritionist gave me samples of the bariatric advantage..i could have died lol.

Ok I just got home from the hospital. The surgeon met me in the radiology department. He took pictures said everything looks good. he tried to stick me and took another picture, realized he was down to low. Tried again up higher and Yes..got it took another picture while i drank that white contrast stuff..he wanted to make sure he filled me enough to give me good restriction..i got to watch it on the screen it was actually very cool!! So I had my first fill I am happy and purees fro 2 days!

OK this morning I am off to the hospital to have the doctor attempt a fill with the radiologist. Why I had to fast I don't know. I am a little nervous..nothing every goes smoothly for me. LOL anyway ill keep you posted.

OK this morning I am meeting my doctor at the hospital and he is going to try a fill with the radiologist. He said it didn't completely flip over so he may be able to do it. My question is why was I told to fast last night and this morning? huh?? has me wondering!! I'll let ya know what happens

The doctors arent sure why it flipped over. They are unable to move it or flip it bqck without surgery. It could be from lifting too much too soon..thats hard to say I am a student (heavy book bag) a mom heavy kid stuff LOL, a wife heavy laundry a bunch of pets..who knows. I will find out today when my surgery will be. Unfortunately I do not have time for this I have finals next week ahhhhhh!!!!! Anyway thanks for your thoughts!! Hope all of you guys are well! I really tried not to but I am a student (heavy books) and a mother of 2 a million pets laundry ect...it can be 1 of many things. I'll find out today when we are having the surgery to put it back in oits right place..hopefully this time it stays put!@!!!!:sad:

Thanks I need Prayers,,after all this I feel like I am back to square 1..even gained 2 lbs ARRGGGG!!! anyway ill keep ya posted right now its a waiting game I have finals next week and with my kids I have to try to squeeze in the second surgery,,god willing!!! Keep your fingers crossed!!Thanks

Man...I went to the office today for my first fill I was sooo excited after about 20 sticks and 2 doctors I was told to go to the hospital for an x-ray because they are almost 100% sure my port flipped completey over..meaning I will need another surgery..great just what a full time student mother of 2 and wife needs. :thumbup: Oh well what can I do?

Hi I was banded August 7 2008. Its a week now and I am starving cant wait for my fill monday

Ok today a steri strip came off in the shower and under it the incision is raised red and ugly. I called the doctor but he cant see me until fri. this stinks I hope this isnt normal..it is ugly ....10 lbs lost as of today:confused2:

Good Luck. Yea 10 days..it will go by so quickly. Look how long it took for you to get this far right? Congrats and don't stop now :crying:

Hello.. I had the surgery on 8/7 I was allowed only clear liquids day before surgery then nothing after midnight. I already started eating a little bit of mush 6 days post op. The surgery went great I was on the beach 2 days later (in clothes) and back in school on monday ( i am a full time student) good luck!!! Dana

Ok I am almost a week post op and doing..i think tooo well LOL. I decided I can start the mushy stage early. LOL I hope i am not causing myself damage. I feel wonderful 2 days after surgery I was on the beach with my family (in clothes, not a bathing suit. :frown: what can I say I can't wait for my band to be filled!!!!:confused2:

ok i have a problem..LOL I am banded 6 days now and I am soo hungry..i decided to try a tiny peice of chicken ,,it went well i don't understand why the liquids? This stnks I hope i am not causing damage!!
