  1. I think he and his staff are awesome! They are sweet, caring and very much there for their patients. email me for any further info....i'm scheduled for 8/22/08.. goaliemom@nc.rr.com
  2. I went to the seminar for Dr. Mitchell and although the P.A. did the presentation not Dr. Mitchell, I was not impressed with their practice. They are very "PRO" gastric Bypass and were not very supportive in my opinion of the band. They also use the "realize" band which is different than the one Dr. Enochs uses. I have attended a support group for Dr. Enochs and after attending both, I was "extremely" more comfortable and more impressed with Dr. Enoch's practice. He is very sweet, soft spoken and caring. His staff is the same. They are all very friendly and never appear bothered by the constant questions I have. I am scheduled for the surgery on 8/22/08. I feel very comfortable with my choice to use Dr. Enoch's practice. His next support group meeting is 8/28/08 at Rex Cancer center on 2nd floor. You can call their office for more info but everyone is welcome. Last support group (which is the only one i've been to) his P.A. Lisa and one of his nurses were there. They are sooooo sweet. He came also and walked around answering questions. It was like being with family and friends. If you would like any further details email me at goaliemom@nc.rr.com
  3. thanks for feedback. my doc calls for clear liquid day before too but the rep from lapband suggest at least a 10 day pre-diet. i'm starting to get really anxious. It's going to be a long 10 days.
  4. HI I went to a seminar for a surgeon in Pinehurst as well as the one in cary and I was way more pleased with Dr. Enoch's staff in Cary. They have a support group once a month in Raleigh at Rex Hospital. I found the doc in Pinehurst to be more into Gastric Bypass. There's also a difference in the quality of the band dr. Enochs uses. It's a lot better. We got to see the difference between both at the last support group. My sister had surgery year ago in Georgia and she's had great success so I've decided to do the same. Good luck to you. I'm scheduled for Friday August 22,2008. I'll keep in touch thru this site to update.
  5. I'm starting pre-op diet tomorrow Wed. 8/13/08. Bit nervous but eager to get going. Surgery scheduled for Friday 8/22/08. Any insight on prediet would be helpful. My understanding of pre-diet is protein shakes breakfast and lunch then salad for dinner. No soda and weaning off caffeine.
