Well here it finally is:notagree the band is in place and I am at home for a week. Took the week off so I would feel like working. I find it hard to get enough water and protein each day but know that this will get better as the days go by. I am just really sore right now still from the operation. Yes I would do this in a heart beat again:clap2: and I encourage all non banded persons to really chk into this for them. It is different for each and every person:cool: I dont have to stumble in the blind  to think should I eat this or not :hungry: the answer is not not not. I believe if you have to ask yourself this question then you have already failed. Have a grt day today tummy because I will take good care of you and you take good care of me.

Well I am just a few days away from my surgery date. I am getting very excited. I have been on the preop diet for almost thirty days, I know that this is a long time but I did not want the doc to get in there and then tell me that my liver was still to big and send me home to loose more weight. Keep the info coming as it has been a real blessing for me and others to hear it all good and bad............................

:bandit well here it is, one week until B-day. It has been a long thiry days but am very happy with the physical results in the way I look:p . I am wearing clothes that I have not worn in a long time. I find that I do have extra energy also that I have not had for some time. It became so much easier to just sit around and veg, but now with working out which is still a chore, I find that I want to get outside and do lots of things that I could not do before. I even bought my daughter a new car yesterday. I had made a promise to her several years ago that I would buy one for her if she wnt back to school and got her diploma, she did so I did what I needed to do. I hope the results that come my way are always positive, and I know that this will be the case as long as I work hard each and every day to acheive success. I know that " Change is not change unless I change":clap2:

Yoda: I am going into have the band on the 17th and I am very excited that I made this decision. About telling anyone? Yes I have told the world, I am tired of being the end of all the jokes and I have heard every fat joke in the world. But here I am 53yrs old and finally doing something for myself. I want the world to know and I tell anyone and everyone who will listen. The strange part of this is wow what a response, but positive and negitive, but you know this is ok. Because when I hit my target I have pleadged to take myself and my bride of 28yrs on a crusie. Wow what a goal to work towards. Hang in there and may the FORCE(band) be with you

Bottom line, speak to a good Doc and see what they say........... -
thanks for all the info, I go in on the 17th to get my band and all this info is greatly appreciated
-
I do find it very intersting on the number of persons who have the band and then it appears they complain, "did I do the right thing" well heavens to gertrude:rolleyes: give me a break. Why? would anyone put themselves through all of the stuff and I mean stuff and not work to make it happen:faint: . Well tummy, it's me and you bub- I will work not to put anything into you that I know should not go- and YOU need to work on the things that do come your way to make them pass quietly:notagree . I am very glad that I have the web site to read about the other ups and downs and hear the many issues. One of the things I would like to do tummy, is one day eat something that makes us both feel good.

First of all believe in yourself, I know one thing for sure. "God does not make junk" He made you and you are a rare jewel. My wife and I have now been married for 28yrs and she has stood at my side the whole time, our prayers are with you, and I know that whatever happens will be the best for you. He is in control and already knows the outcome.

wow////////////keep us posted on the issues

Daiseybelle: Do what you did just after being banded, TAKE CHARGE and you go girl. The only way to keep it off is to work on it daily and hit each daily goal with a shout of joy and continue on................. -
Hello from Idaho, I to am self pay , I have a date set for 17th april. mine is just shy 20,000.00. thought about the Mexico thing but after attending a seminar and talking to a great number of people, I know that my decision to have it done here is the best for me. Right now I am on the preop diet and have been for about fifteen days, not as bad as I thought it would be but would kill for food...ha ha ha ha. really it has not been that bad for me, It is helping me change my entire eating style for the rest of my life. Plus with this support I will weather the transition to a healthier life style.
