I havent had the first bit of problem from my severe acid reflux since the moment I had my first fill. That was a true blessing to me because I was using 1-2 boxes of Tums in a week. I havent had a Tums since March 8th.

Hi, I had my surgery 2/31/06 by Dr. Willie Melvin at Vanderbilt Hospital. I really like the bedside manner he had and he makes the post op visits fun.

I was banded 2/31/06. Hubby has promised me that for my birthday next July that I can have breast work done. I have only lost 27 lbs and most of that has been in my boobs and feet and hands. My boobs were saggy to begin with. I imagine with will look like a blood hound one the weight is all gone. I will have to be given boobs where mine used to be. I would be happy with a full B or small C. Currently, well, last trip to Lane Bryant, I was a 44DD but now the cup looks empty. I cant wait for that birthday, I havent seen my nipples in years and when I look in the mirror, what I can see of them, well, they're cross-eyed. I'd be happy if they just cut me somewhere 'bout mid chest and attached them puppies to my shoulders. At least they would look perky. :confused: I know, Im awful, but honest.

Im in a lil poop hole called Hohenwald. Im 75 miles southwest of Nashville. Had my band done at Vanderbilt.

I have noticed that if I eat too fast, and I do sometimes that I get the "bubble". Also, I have not mastered the art of not drinking when I eat. Im a southern girl and you always wash down your food when you eat because you're normally flapping your gums about who did what down the street and you dont want people seeing food in your mouth. Right? But I have noticed that if I take a small drink after eating just about anything that I get the feeling of a cornish hen in my chest. It was quite comical the other day in Ruby Tuesday's when I had ribs and I drank some water and the bite got hung. Im leaned way back in my chair with my butt slid to the edge and Im rubbing my sternum in a fashion much like trying to get a horse or dog to swallow a pill. It finally went down, or exploded or something, because I could breath again. Painful and funny at the same time. How do I stop drinking when I eat. Im always thirsty. Help!!!!

I am getting fill #2 the 30th. The past few days it felt more tight, but yesterday I ate like a horse. Kinda scared me. And I havent lost a pound in over a week.

I have a big ole question here, how do I get a ticker and how do I use it? Im glad I helped you think of your Granny. Its great to remember those we love.

This is my first visit to the website. I really like it. Been looking around. I found it by using Google. I had my surgery Jan. 31st 2006 and had my first fill March 8. Im enjoying losing weight. Something I havent been able to achieve in some 18 yrs or so. Im looking forward to losing the weight. And I am also looking forward to meeting everyone on the board.

Hi, this is my first post here. I was happy to find this site. I had my band filled last week. It was 5 weeks after surgery. I had lost 20 lbs. They only put 1 cc in. She tried to put in 2cc but it felt like it took my breath away. Now, one week later, I feel like its not tight enough. Should I wait the suggested 6 weeks or call and let them know that I dont think Im tight enough?
