  2. Hey Rebecca! You had put down that your current weight at the beginning was 304 and now your at 303 so that is a pound! That's something. Don't get discouraged. The best thing is that you didn't gain. It's really hard for most of us to lose at this point in the game before we get our first fill. After that point it should start coming off better. Just keep working it and it will come off!:tongue2:
  3. Ok I had a terrible day for Saturday...ugh  B - Eggbeater scrambled with corned beef hash S - None L - Grilled cheese sammi (half) S - SF Popsicle D - Grilled chicken and squash S - Peanut Butter Cookies
  4. Hey Vickie. No problem with the topic cause it is something your having to deal with that you want to know your not the only one dealing with it. For me I am not as much constipated as my stole is very very firm. I am sure we both need more fiber built into the diet to loosen up. That's the best thing I could suggest right now.
  5. That is way cool V-Queen! It's a great feeling to be able to wear something now that you couldn't anymore! A big congrats to you hun!
  6. Congrats Laurel on the loss! Got it added to the spreadsheet
  7. Got ya Kathy! Congrats on the big weight loss too!
  8. Ok I think I got all the updates on there. Thus far. Anymore that go on there after this point I will update later today unless someone else gets to updating them before me. LOL
  9. Friday B - oatmeal S - None L - Left over pot roast and vegis S - Popcorn D - steamed chicken and broccoli S - SF Fudgesicle
  10. I tell you that honestly I think the NSV are bigger then the SV are. When other people are noticing your weight loss and are saying something about it that is such a moral booster. When you go to put on those clothes that were tight and now they are loose again another great moral booster. Of course I am still monitoring my blood pressure closely with today being my first day off of the bood pressure meds and it's going great so far. But another NSV is purely the feeling of wanting to get out of the house to be active. This morning my wife, son, and I just went for a walk for the pleasure and not specifically for the exercise!!!
  11. Ok I stepped onto the scale today and I've lost 3 lbs so far. Woot!
  12. I have had London Broil also. I had it just a couple of days ago and had no problems with it going done other then I had to make sure it was chewed up very well. Any and all meat I have I make sure is chewed up very well. I did have chicken the other night that I got one bite stuck for about 5 minutes (very painful) because I didn't chew it enough. It's my understanding that this will be much more difficult after we start getting fills.
  13. Thursday B - oatmeal S - None L - chicken Stir Fry S - None D - BBQ Burger, salad, baked Beans S - SF Popsicle
  14. Congrats Fran on your NSV! For me my first NSV was the clothes also. I won't go into it to much since I did post about it already but to sum it up my clothes are getting big on me and my belts are even on their last notches. I have to say my second NSV is happening right now. It looks like I will get to stop taking one of my blood pressure medications. My blood pressure is going down!!! Woohoo!!!
  15. Hey Teresa! Congrats on the weight loss. You will have to keep us up to date on how your hunger is now that you got a fill and how your eating changes too. I've been told that once you start getting the fills things really change. Keep us up to date!
  16. Congrats Ann! So did you want to reset your goal for the month?
  17. Congrats on getting your band and do take a look around the forums. Lots of great discussions and plenty of support from others that are going through the same experiences. As I say the easy part is over now and the hard part begins. Living life with the lapband. The weight will come off you just have to make it work for you! Best of luck!
  18. Congrats on getting your band! Sounds like your doing well. The pain on the port side is normal. I know I had soreness around the port incision for a couple of weeks but now after a month the only way I know I had surgery is by looking at my scars and how much easier it is for me to get full. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing how you progress!
  19. Wednesday b - oatmeal s - none l - pork and black Beans s - none d - roast beef and vegis s - none
  20. Hi Misty, Congrats on getting your band and having weight loss too! Also welcome to the forums. This is a great source to help you learn more about the band and to share what your going through with others as they are going through it too. As for Mushies I suggest checking out this thread. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/lapband-food-stages-lists-suggestions-3995/ There is a whole list in there of foods for each stage plus under the Nutrition and Diet forum there are several threads on foods for mushies. Best of luck!
  21. I tell you Veronica the world is a lot bigger. LOL I was born and raised in Oregon. While in high school I traveled a lot with a drum & bugle corps and got to see most of the nation from a tour bus. As an adult my work has taken me to Oregon and Washington State of course as well was to Idaho, Colorado, Washginton DC with working in both Maryland and Virginia, and finally down to Florida. Personally I have been to Mexico and Canada and have seen or been to about 46 of the 50 states. I have been to Alaska and Hawaii. Damn I have been all over the place for not have going over seas. LOL
  22. Yeah it was funny cause our office had a Sterling address but was right on the edge of Herdon right off of Old Ox Road. Basically right off of I think that was Hwy 24. Now speaking of Colorado when I was there I lived in Colorado Springs so that's pretty funny too. If it's been very long since you have been there it's changed and grown a lot. I was in the springs for about a year and a half. Worked on Garden of the Gods road just a short distance from the Garden of the Gods. Small world I tell you!
  23. I think the plan is about once a week that we will each weigh in. The spreadsheet is set up for every Saturday. For me I already weigh in every Friday so I'll be updating mine on Fridays. Speaking of VA I see your in Leesburg. The company I was working for in the DC Metro is actually in Sterling so I spent a lot of time tromping around your area during the work week. LOL
  24. Oh I hear my tummy growl a lot and don't feel the hunger. I think one of the hardest battles I am fighting is the mental hunger vs the physical hunger. Usually when I am hungry it's because I am bored. Atleast that's what I have noticed. So I have worked to keep myself busier and that really seems to help with the hunger thoughts. Now I know that I am hungry when I get the hunger pains. Also I try and pay close attention to knowing when I am full.
  25. Ok for Tuesday I had.... br - oatmeal s - none ln - steak, cauliflower s - none dn - chicken stir fry s - sugar free Popsicle
