  1. I am doing my Wii fit everyday and taking long brisk walks 4-5 times per week.
  2. Calm down and call. I freaked right before my surgery because mine disappeared from the website, but it was fine.
  3. I use the low-carb slim-fast as well. My nutritionist recommended it when I told her I simply couldn't afford the expensive crap they peddle at my doc's office.
  4. It's not THAT easy to slip your band, Molly. If it were, hundreds of pregnant women would be screwed.
  5. Army wife here. :rolleyes2:
  6. How is everyone doing today? I reweighed today and have now lost 17.5 lbs (~5lbs pre-op loss).
  7. Oh and I'm not hungry either, but I've been dying for sweets today. I finally broke down and had 1/4 cup of sugar free/fat free ice cream. Not too horrible, and it actually had a bit of protein in it!
  8. I'm so excited bout missing most (if not all) of winter that I could wet myself. I grew up in lower Alabama- I had never seen actual standing snow until we moved here a little over a year ago and I HATE THE STUFF. The way it was explained to me is that you should have a referral to your doctor for ___ visits until ___insert date here___ (mine is through February. Once those are used up, you can either call Tricare and ask for more visits (usually they give them without much hassle) or go to your PCP and ask for more referrals to your surgeon.
  9. I asked my nutritionist about them and she said the problem is with the 40-something gram ones, not the 26 gram ones. Your body can only absorb about 30 grams of protein at a time, so if you're using the 40+ gram ones, it's a waste. I'm going to buy a flat of them soon.
  10. My post op appt isn't for a week yet- I'm jealous. I've got to work out the schematics of my first fill. My husband is going to school in GA for almost 3 months, so my son and I are going to stay with my parents in FL (it's a lot closer to visit from FL than it is from MD). We'll be leaving at the end of this month and my first fill should be mid-Dec, right before c'mas. BAH.
  11. I miss boobookitty being up at the top! But I love the new look. The colors are great!

  13. It all depends on how much you have to lose. I was banded the day before you and I have lost ~10lbs since surgery, but I also have more lbs to lose than you. Someone who had less lbs to lose may only lose 2 or 3 lbs in the same amount of time.
  14. And I have a 3-year-old, too, but I sent him to grandma and grandpa's in florida while I heal!
  15. I haven't fallen off the wagon yet, but I did have a literal crumb of chocolate the other night. My husband was eating a candy bar and I couldn't stand it. I figured it was better for me to just have a teensy taste and stop there than think about a Take 5 bar for days on end. I had my teensy taste and I was satisfied.
