  1. Oh, boy, professional pictures, LOL!!!!! Mimi
  2. Danny, thanks for posting and give Allie my best wishes to heal fast. Mimi
  3. Thanks for the update Josie, it will be wonderful to see new pictures. I am delighted that you are doing so well. Mimi
  4. I think your PC is causing you needless anxiety. I am on 3 meds for depression and anxiety and had no trouble with the process. Hang in there. Mimi
  5. I am happy that you are being taken care of so well and have a great surgeon. Mine always sounds and looks so surprised to see me being smaller, LOL!!! Mimi
  6. Kathy, I am sorry about all this fluid build up, that stinks. If you dilute the protein bullets with crystal light of the same flavor they are not as bad. I had forgotten about them but now that you reminded me of them I will buy some before my Jan 10 PS. I will think positive thoughts for your upcoming Xray and drain procedure. Mimi
  7. I meant to ask where you got the button down Moo Moo. Also, I was thinking about renting an electric recliner....do you think I would use it? Mimi
  8. Skinny, I am glad you are doing better, sorry for the difficulty with #2!!! I will keep that in mind when I have my surgery!!!! Mimi
  9. MellyB, have you been to the doc yet? I am hoping for the best for you. I had to have a total unfill for 2 weeks and that made me know I can't live without the band either....I gained 9 pounds in 2 weeks!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  10. Just 2 weeks to go, Kate!!!! I am so excited for you and eager to see your results, especially your arms. Mimi
  11. How tall are you? Tricare is very strict in its standards and it doesn't sound like you have comorbidities.
  12. Best wishes, Allie. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I hope you sleep well tonight. Mimi
  13. I am surprised that a big guy like you didn't get a 14ml band!!! Anyway, slow low fills makes for an agonizing wait, doesn't it? My docs are the same as yours and I will be below goal by the time I have restriction!!!! Hang in there and keep exercising and watching your diet. Congratulations on your wt loss. Best wishes, Mimi
  14. Work on that self esteem issue!!!!! Of course you are not a bad person, silly!!!! It is rare for 1 fill to give real restriction. The fact that you can feel a little difference is excellent. Watch your diet and exercise and be patient with yourself til your next fill. Mimi
  15. Allie, I am sorry for your loss, it is always sad to lose a family member or friend. I am glad you are so upbeat and positive waiting for Thursday. We will be eagerly awaiting your posts. Mimi
  16. Skinny, you are doing so well, there is bound to be a slump from the actual surgery and anesthesia. Thank you again for the day to day details. I am glad massaging doesn't hurt the girls....I pulled a quick mental visual of bewbies out to your chin!!! I keep thinking I am going to look like a stitched together scarecrow, especially my upper arms. Sue, thanks for reassuring us that the scars fade. Mimi
  17. Please go see your doc, even 1/4cc unfill could make a difference. Losing wt is nice but being that tight is not good for you in the long term. Let us know what you do. Mimi
  18. Excellent questions and ones I have been thinking about, too. I hope you get a variety of answers. I don't think I will ever have an empty band because every time I have a de-fill I experience a voracious appetite like you did. Mimi
  19. Skinny, I am so happy for your excellent progress. I didn't know that the doc's want us bent over, I thought trying to get upright ASAP was the thing to do, so thank you for educating me. Are you happy with "the girls"? Does it hurt to massage them? Mimi
  20. Great recipes and great ideas.....I am thrilled with all the responses and will never go back to canned premade again!!!! Mimi
  21. WannaB, you have obviously got good info to make your decision on and it sounds like a good well thought out decision. Thanks!!! Mimi
  22. I will try the chili recipe with lean ground beef, too. Ground sirloin sounds absolutely yummy, Kimaly. Kiz, thanks for the heads up on the smaller storage containers, too. If I ever get decent restriction, the 1 cup and 1/2 cup sizes would be great to have. Gosh, Blueangel, you put me to shame with all the food preparation you did for the week. All so healthy, too. Mimi
  23. I just made a batch from the recipe Btrieger posted. Of course I modified it but it was so simple and easy. I wish I had thought about the zip lock bag idea ahead of time, that would have really been wonderful and easy storage. Well, there WILL be a next time so I can put all these little tricks into use. I used store brand Walmart ingredients and it came to about $1.50 a serving. Ground turkey is not a cheap meat, but I felt so heart smart while I was eating it!!!! I had had a turkey burger before and it was mushy. I was afraid the ground turkey in the chili would be mushy, too, but it had the texture of ground beef. I was thrilled with the whole thing!!! Cleanup wasn't even as bad as I feared. I omitted the onions because of indigestion and it was still yummy. I wax poetic on the subject, LOL!!!! Mimi
  24. Wow, Andrew, you have done wonderfully!!!! Congratulations! Mimi
