  1. Tiffany, that is so wonderful, as is your wt loss. Please post before and after pictures to showcase your journey. Mimi
  2. SCTexasgirl, what I think is interesting is that we are having the same problem with the same doctor and our band dates are the same month. I hate the whole place except for the Nutritionist, Emily. $500 for 1/4cc is highway robbery and that is what they are doing to me, too. I threatened to go to Fillcentersusa and all of a sudden I got an appointment with him, which I didn't want, I wanted a PA...he intimidates me and makes me feel like I am a bad person. How did your fill go? Mimi
  3. I am a year out, too, and have the same problem, especially when I am working out. I have to keep telling my trainer to "Close Your Ears!!!" It is very embarrassing! Mimi
  4. I, too, am in search of my "sweet spot" and at 1/4 cc and $500 a fill it is taking a long time because my docs won't do it more often than 6 weeks. Mimi
  5. When I had a total unfill I could eat absolutely anything without problem. Just as if I had no band. Gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Mimi
  6. Mini, my breast and arm lift will be Jan 4, 2010 and my TT will be Mar 15th. PS wanted my wt stable for several months before the TT so I am trying to be stable LOL. Mimi
  7. Sadie, congratulations on your successful surgery, can't wait to see the pictures. I have 3 months to go before my boob lift and arm tuck!!! Mimi
  8. I am so happy that you are making such great progress. Your pictures are super!! Thanks again for posting them. Mimi
  9. I, too, am having problems with self image. I am a loose 12 but found myself back in the plus size department this morning. DrToliver, you are right about it being the known and comfort zone. I think that I am afraid to shop in the regular sizes!! Mimi
  10. Way to go, you look great!!!!! I hope you get to your 100 lb goal!!! Mimi
  11. Congratulations, Maggie!!!! Mimi
  12. Congratulation on your mega successful year!! Mimi
  13. Angel, I am thinking that Tracey's posted wt for the week before comparison wt came from when they said they weighed her in at the hospital. Who knows what she was wearing and attached to that got weighed also. Plus she was on IV's and probably had fluid overload so she had an artificial weigh in. Those faces she makes gives me the creeps. Mimi
  14. You are describing restriction!!!! Congratulations!! Occasionally someone will post that just getting banded gives them restriction, so everybody is different. Enjoy your decreased calorie intake, it will lead to increased wt loss. Mimi
  15. Good luck, Sadie. Post again as soon as you are able!! Mimi
  16. Here's what I have to say, Shalee........OMG!!!!!! You look absolutely amazing!!!! Mimi
  17. I feel your pain, Bandster Hell is rightly named. I gained wt til my second fill and that was 4 months post op. The band is a tool to help, but won't work miracles. You will feel better overall if you start exercising even a little. Yes, watching calories will always be important because even with good restriction high calorie slider food goes down very smoothly and easily. Congratulations on your wt loss so far and hang in there, it will get better. Mimi
  18. I so agree with you, Elfie!!! I think it is a delay tactic and it stinks. The concept has never made sense to me!!!! Mimi
  19. You describe your experience so well that it reminded me of my first!!!!! Glad you survived it and learned from it!!! Mimi
  20. I am glad the PA and you had that great talk. It is easy to increase ones' calories without realizing it. Congrats on the 4 pound loss and good luck with your pouch being not stretched. Mimi
  21. I think it is a bit complicated and you might lose a great deal of your tax benefit. I would call the 800 IRS number and talk to them for accurate advice. Please let us know what you find out. Mimi
  22. daqui, be patient with your band. You might be experiencing a normal plateau that coincided with your fill. Best wishes, Mimi
  23. I am happy your drainage has become essentially nonexistent. That is wonderful. Keep up the good work, Mimi
