  1. I had lost track of this thread, I hope it stays active!!! Patterba, what did Mom say about your manicure? Mimi
  2. Elfie, I agree, it sounds very strange, as it is a closed system on the outside of the stomach!!!! Mimi
  3. Go to the bathroom and let it come up. Being stuck can stretch the pouch and nature is trying to tell you it needs to come up. If this doesn't pass in a couple of days or it gets worse you need to call for a little unfill. I speak from recent experience. Good luck. Mimi
  4. Well, LC, the good news is you have time to wean yourself off. I did pick a date 2 weeks in the future when my prebought soda would run out and that was my quit day. I drink coffee, too, so I increased my coffee intake temporarily to cover the headaches from withdrawal. Good luck. Mimi
  5. Good info and a nice review, thanks for posting the link. Mimi
  6. You guys are hysterically funny......once I figured out what you were talking about I thought I was going to choke laughing so hard!!! Allie, good to know about those bras, I saw them there yesterday and was wondering if they were supportive enough? Mimi
  7. Peaches, thanks for posting and I am glad you are feeling better!!!! I wish you continued success. Mimi
  8. Lingra, you will do fine, especially if you log your food and remember to pretend you are on an old fashioned diet. I must admit I took advantage of being unfilled to eat EVERYTHING except pizza that I couldn't eat while banded. Ever since then I have been regretting missing the pizza, LOL!!!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  9. I hope I don't sound mean, but suck it up and stop cold turkey. I went from 7-8 cans a day to nothing and now drink Walmart brand crystal light orange by the Gallon. I miss the bubbles of my Diet Coke, but the one time I tried it post op I was in agony with stuck burps. I do wish you the best of luck. Mimi
  10. I agree you should wait. I am at goal and the difference between where my breasts were 30 pounds ago and now is enormous. They were horrible and now they are worse...at least 34 long, LOL. Invest in the recommended garments and hang in there and wait. Mimi
  11. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on fills. If the fills are not included in your original surgery price then you pay for every fill, period. It usually takes several visits until you are at good restriction. If you have a problem that needs an unfill, you start all over again paying for fills. Good luck, Mimi
  12. I am glad you took a nap after all that activity. I am sorry about your uneven ness, Maybe they will end up matching anyway, even w/o a revision. Were you too tired to try stuff on at V. Secret? Mimi
  13. Fanny, I am hoping my PS gives me more advice when I see him on 12/22. That is when he will see within a week or so what he is actually going to be working on. The last time I saw him I was about 23 pounds heavier and when all those pounds left they left me with deflated socks, too. I am glad your PS is going to do you all at once, for health and economic reasons. I wish I could make up my mind on the implants....I don't mind being an A+ or a B but I don't want flat boobs and there doesn't seem to be a way to predict it ahead of time. One day I think yes get implants, next day not. I am glad you will get what you want......and SOON!!!!!! Mimi
  14. Mella, I hope your doc gave you an anti nausea prescription for next time. You have a good attitude and this 2 weeks will be over soon. I am sorry it happened, though. Good luck, Mimi
  15. I feel your pain, truly. Especially when I gained 12 pounds in the 2 weeks of unfill. However, that being said, it was a temporary setback and I went on to reclaim my fills slowly and started losing again. I wish you the best and please keep exercising!!!! Mimi
  16. Yesterday my PA drew back and reinjected my fluid 3 times. It really made me swell up and I PB'd my protein shake out the car door!!!! I wish they wouldn't manipulate the fluid, yet they have to withdraw some to make sure they are in the right place!!!! Oh, well, the swelling went down pretty fast this time. Mimi
  17. I think it would be a good idea to get a little fill. It is possible that as you maintained (CONGRATULATIONS!!!!) the 140 pounds you body composition changed and you lost fat and weight between your band and stomach. This would make the band a little looser. I can't tell you how proud of you I am for maintaining, because it is the one thing I am afraid I will fail at. I know how to gain and I know how to lose, but maintenance is a new story!!! Good luck, Mimi
  18. My port hurt off and on for 3-4 weeks. It still bothers me if I lay on the stability ball doing exercises. It will get better, though, I promise. After all, it is stitched onto your abdomenal muscles. Good luck!!! Mimi
  19. So after all that you ended up with NO fill at all? That stinks, especially since he is so far away!!!! I agree with you he should have tried 2 or 3 cc. Good luck, Mimi
  20. Allie, you cracked me up!!!!! My vice when unfilled will be thick crust cheese pizza with extra cheese!!!!! Gotta admire you for going for it, knowing you won't be able to enjoy it so much or at all later on!!!! Thanks for the heads up on the stool softeners, I will stock up on them. Sorry for your technicolor bewbies, I hope they don't hurt. I am happy for you that you felt so good this morning. Excellent progress. And shopping online with points was a great thing. Mimi
  21. I have had that problem where as the fill went in I felt the need to burp and sometimes couldn't. The times it happened and I didn't say anything I ended up overfilled and going back for an unfill. I don't know what it means, though, I just know it has happened. Good luck. Mimi
  22. I, too, did well, and honor everyone else who struggled with all the bountiful food. I lost 6 pounds over the holiday but must confess it was because I was a little too tight and got a little unfill yesterday. I am still happy for the loss, though. Now we have to face all the Christmas goodies!!!!! Mimi
  23. If all else fails, go to WWW.Fillcentersusa.com and call them for info. Some of their partners use fluoroscope. Good luck. Mimi
  24. I just visited your site and darn girl, you are looking good!!!! Your boobies are so smooth and nice and your tummy so flat!!!! Your suture line is healing great and your belly button looks so normal. I hope my helping friend won't be too embarrassed to take pictures of my progress!!!! We are long time friends but not kissing cousins, LOL!!!! Mimi
  25. I am sorry work took so much out of you, I wish you could do half days for a while. It is distressing your son wants to quit.....maybe he could take EMT classes at night and keep going to school? I will wish you the best it is a difficult time for you. I didn't write down the password, could you repost it when you have more strength and time? Oh, I know, I will scroll up and find it. Sorry, didn't mean to be lazy. I hope you feel perkier soon. All the best, Mimi
