  1. I considered changing practices but in the end chickened out. It doesn't sound like you are getting the support you need and deserve. Is the other practice really any better? If it is and they will meet your needs, I think you would be justified in changing over. Let us know what you decide. Mimi
  2. You can post whatever you want and I can answer any post I want, doesn't matter what you want. I have never called anyone stupid but if that is what you think about yourself, then who am I to contradict you? Mimi Mimi
  3. Then why bother asking for advice? Your mind was and is already made up. Mimi
  4. EAdreal, once again you have medical misinformation. You do NOT have a good chance of your GB problems going away. Are you going to listen to anyone who has answered you? Mimi
  5. Congratulations!!!! I almost got a chin implant when I got my boobs and arms done, but chickened out at the last minute. I am having an under eye lift next week and had the upper eyes done when I started this journey. You are worth every penny!!!! Mimi
  6. I agree that if you can tolerate liquids you have time to see if it is band fill stomach swelling or over restriction. Don't try to be a hero if you are barfing your liquids or just can't drink them. You may need to stay on liquids a couple of days. Mimi
  7. Pixie, I am glad the source of your problem was found and taken care of and that your band is fine. Mimi
  8. Congratulations on your recovery and restarting your band journey. You inspire me. Mimi
  9. And ppl who are not in our position don't understand our need to get rid of the hanging stuff. Several of my friends are concerned about my PS plans and being "addicted" but they aren't living with the empty sack syndrome. Armpit surgery for batwings is only available for select situations....if you are hanging the whole length of the upper arm it isn't as likely to be able to get that procedure. www.makemeheal.com has several before and after arm pictures and many many many of boobs, TT, etc. Mimi
  10. Doesn't your PCP know you are banded? I am very restricted and have to cut pills up really small and open my capsules. Mimi
  11. I had it done in January. I wasn't quite at my lowest wt, altho I was close to goal. Insurance would not pay. My scars are still reddish......they take awhile to fade, maybe a year. Even with the scars I am not sorry I had it done. I had the same problems as you with the needing bigger blouses and jackets, etc. Save up your $$$ and go for it!!!! Mimi
  12. Wonderful NSV (Non Scale Victory)....very rewarding. Mimi
  13. Congratulations, you are doing very very well!!! Mimi
  14. I was thinking he may be a little too tight and has already reverted to slider food. Something to think about. I am too tight and waiting for an unfill. I can only eat a little bit of non slider food at a time, then I am hungry again in a short while. The slider foods typically have more calories, salt and fat and a person gains more easily. I am fighting as hard now to not gain wt as I was fighting when I didn't have enough restriction. Best wishes. Mimi
  15. Eadreel you have put out quite a bit of erroneous information about Tricare standards. Mimi
  16. Congratulations on your wt loss and feeling better and your surgical date. I am still suffering but scared to get the unfill. Mimi
  17. Sorry about your swelling, Sue, but I am glad your surgery is over and you did fine, except for the swelling. Mimi
  18. Best wishes, Sue. I so understand about needing the "Belly Cop". Mimi
  19. Yes, fibrous includes salads, but after working through the recovery stages and getting fills you may be able to eat those things again, many bandsters do. Mimi
  20. Yes, I am having symptoms similar to yours but I am afraid of having the PA do a little unfill because "they" are heavy handed and don't know what a "little" unfill is!!! I am so scared of gaining wt from too big an unfill. I guess when I am tired of the reflux, barfing, and stomach burning I will do something about it. 2 Radiologists said I have a slip (from 2 different upper GI series) but my doctor says no. Mimi
  21. I posted one a few months back in this section. If you use the search button it should pop up. It is so easy and yummy yummy yummy. Mimi
  22. Suzanne, I do wish you maximum luck!!!! I also wish your insurance would let you have a sleeve, no more messing around with fills, etc. Mimi
  23. Chris, many doctors have no restrictions. Mine is excessively restrictive....2 days clear liquids, 2 days full liquids, 2 days soft food. Bleck!!! Mimi
  24. You are spelling his name wrong. There are a couple of threads on here about him.
