  1. Scary!!! I hope you are ok!!
  2. Life happens...you just have to get back on track..this is for life, and in life I plan to eat pizza, and drink cosmos..but..not as much, and maybe I will get to such a healthy weight that a healthy mind will come with it, that I may choose more wiser, but right now...I am in training...You can do it!
  3. lol..I have been freaking out from day one too!!! but, then eventually it goes down....I promise!!! Keep up the good work, and it will pay off!!! I am just about 5weeks out now, and feel as if this may really be it!!! YAY!!! You are going to do awesome!!
  4. I was nervous about the same issues...but I am now 5wks out and doing great..On any regular diet you can feel like you are starving, but then on a regular diet, you can end up binging, and then starting back at square one..This way, you get your fills, and keep going..Life is still going to happen, so it will not be like you will never eat certain foods again if this is your choice, but it will get easier to let it go...You can do it!!!!!!
  5. I had a glass of wine and then maybe a couple of cosmos on friday night...and I too can get the munchies but then I just slow down and enjoy the drink..and let others dig into the food and before I knew it the nochos and bread and dip were gone!!! I was told on here that life is going to happen, weddings and parties, it is about being prepared for it, even mentally...Its ok, everything in moderation, when you get home drink more water and go for a walk...but get back on track...now I have to do what I say..lol
  6. As for the original post...I agree with everyone..what did your doctor say you should be eating?? I was on 2 weeks clear liquids then two weeks all liquids, then solids...and he said, follow it to the T, or you can cause the issue of stretching or putting strain on it, so I followed it...now that I am eating solids, I do from time to time I think push it, because it is a learning lesson trying to figure out how much to eat, and how often...good luck!!!
  7. The above post can not be real?? and if it is I am sorry, but I did hear about fraud posts, just seems a bit to odd...and to leave it for a year..ouch..and if it is real again, sorry, but go to any hospital and have it xrayed...good luck!! I had my surgery in Mexico and was so happy!!! and still am!!!
  8. my doctor said no carbonation for 6m.so every doc is different...
  9. Hmm..I dont know, I think everyone is different..but what you can do is, I guess keep an eye on how much you are eating, by weighing it and taking a look at the calories. Also my doc told me to eat protein first, then others vegetables.Keep it to three main meals and a couple of small snacks if needed...If you feel you are eating between the guildlines that your doc has set out, or, what others have posted here..(I love the info that I have gotten from here!) then you may be needing a fill..I was at a bit of a stand still so I changed my work outs and uped my water and am back to losing, so happy, and now I will wait for a fill.. Its not always a short journey..but it will be worth it!
  10. I agree with a couple posts above, right now, you are three days out, I too was thinking what on earth did I do!!..I was in pain, and wondering where else I could have spent my money but truth is, I have spent this money and maybe twice that, on diet fads that did not work for me..I am not 4.5 weeks out and now,I feel great..lost some weight, feeling good, more energy and just on a good path. It is still going to take work, but once you get to enjoying life you will be good..heads up!!! Thinking of you!!
  11. It is kind of shocking to see how people differ with the amount in their band and how often they go for fills..
  12. Way to go!!!! I agree stand tall and be proud!!!
  13. I am 5 weeks post op, and on solids now for two weeks, my doc told me that I should be eating 1/3 of what I use to, and to stick to 3 meals and small Snacks if needed..I will go for a fill when Iget back from holidays, and it will be 10weeks..the reason so late for a fill, is one, I will be on holidays, and two, I am losing weight at a good rate and feel good. I am down 34 pds, and not really struggling..so I will see if I need one sooner but so far, I feel good.. As for the food..1/3, is perfect, Protein first, smaller plates, chewing and taking my time is working..good luck!!
  14. I was sore too...but hang in there, tomorrow you will report that it does not hurt as much and then more so the next day..just take it easy..I am now just about 5 weeks out and I feel fantastic!!! So keep that in mind!!
  15. I am so sorry for your experience!! That is crazy!!! I wish you only the best for you!!! I too am a bit shocked about the 5 yrs...I too will be in touch with my surgeon...One step at a time..good luck to you!!!
  16. Thank you B52!! I was just concerned with feeling pain or just uncomfortable. and you are right, life will happen and it is about me making the better choices, that I am ok with!! Thank you again!!!
  17. I am just curious, that if I go in for my very first fill four days before I leave for holidays, how will I feel?? Will it be fine, will I by chance stretch it out on holidays? I know it will not give me a lot of restriction but just not sure on how I will expect to feel.. Just wanting some input, of course never experienced a fill, Opinions?? Thank you so much!!!
  18. I agree, excersize will not only make you feel better but it is essential in weightloss..do you lift weights? If not maybe try to incorporate this, at least it will give you some muscle tone and help to burn more fat, so that if the scale does not move at least maybe your dress size will or take a diffrent shape..As for the eating, I think that eventually something will give, it has to!!! Maybe just try to switch up some foods?Maybe meet her half way with the eating and work out...
  19. I was told 6m, but I only drank pop on weekends...but as soon as they say no touchy, that is when I crave or think about it!!! ugh!! lol
  20. I know it is easier to cheat but really try to stick with it, try popsicles, anything..the diet is there for a reason, some people including the doctor says it is there to help you heal, and to also let your stomach get use to being smaller, you start adding solids in early you are possilbly stretching your pouch at such and early stage...So hang in there..
  21. Awesome!!! I am still on liquids, and it will be 3 weeks tomorrow..I am very excited tomorrow night, I eat reallllll fooooooddd!!!! ha!!! I also agree this place has been a life saver for me with do's,don'ts and also just support!! Good luck to you!!
  22. I am going to miss sour dough..I love it!!! but I am just going to pretend it will get caught...sniff..
  23. to be honest, can not remember the brand, but only for two days...then if I felt any discomfort I took liquid tylenol..
  24. Wow!!! Awesome thank you sooo much!!!! I am hungry just reading this...I feel good now!!! Hopefully when I get to see the menu, these items are easy to spot and I dont get distracted with some of the other options. You guys are the best!!
  25. Thank you!!!! The way my doctor has me set up is, one week clear liquids, second and third week full liquids, meaning all kinds of broths, protein shakes and drinkable yogurts. Then from there I go straight to solids.. So was not sure about the weight gain, and how it will affect my tummy...I guess time will tell!!!
