New to this support board- HI

Thank you for your kind support. In the end, I know I am taking much better care of myself with my food choices, volume, drinking more water and my swimming than I have in a long time. That is the kind of help you can not see as it is going on inside !! You too are doing great at 8-10 a month. My first goal is to get below 200- have not seen that since 1991 !!!!!

New to this support board- HI

Hi- thank you. I sat after a 15# week for 2 weeks- then when I had my first fill- went down another 5# and have sat again. I am scheduled for my next fill on 9/8/08 in Madison WI--I had the surgery in Houston TX so had to find another provider in my state for f/u. I just hope I don't keep needing fills to keep it moving --I am eating WAY less than I was before and some mild exercise a few times a week. I remain positive--but of course we all want it off faster !! I forget it took me 18 years to put it all on- have another 100 to go,.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Hi- I am 54 and new to the lap band as of 6 weeks ago--would love to chat with your group. I am still learning how to navigate this website however !!
  12. Hi all- new to this website., I had my lapband surgery done on 6/20/08 - lost 15# the first week- then plateaued for a couple weeks-- I went for my first band adjustment one month later and lost another 5 # after that- Dr. added 2 cc's to my band--and then hit another plateau, I am exercising by swimming 2 times a week ( difficulting walking due to bad right knee) --have lost a total of 24 pounds in 6 1/2 weeks-- seems the last 5 weeks which resulted in 9 poiunds seems slower than I would like. I am keeping a food diary- drinking lots and certainly from a calorie perspective A LOT lower than what I was eating before. I am including 2 protein shakes a day, fruits and vegetables- turkey-- bread gives me some trouble so 1/2 piece a couple times a week max. I could drink more fluids. I have given up diet soda--drink Crystal light or ice tea unsweetened instead. Anything more I could be doing? I have a total of 100 pounds to lose yet to be where I would like to be. I have NOT lost enthusiasm as I know what I am doing for my health is critical. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol- I do not have diabetes or sleep apnea ( YET !!) but my mother does so I am at risk. Maybe more exercise??? Your success thoughts would be welcome. Physically I feel great. Anxious to meet you all. Wendy:cool2:
