  1. days 3-14 I'm on a full liquid diet. so I guess I can drink the protein shakes/supplements etc. might help with my lack of energy. going to try that today. I'm on day 5 of this post op ride and last night i took pain meds before going to sleep and didn't take anything else until 0745 this morning. Trying to get by with liquid tylenol today. I did that a couple days ago but was pretty uncomfortable. We'll see how today goes.
  2. Maybe that's where you're feeling the gas pain???? Have they given you something IV to stop the nausea/vomiting? Hopefully they have and you're feeling better with the IV fluids. I'm sorry. I actually slept through the night last night. Took lortab before going to sleep and didn't take anything else until this morning. I'm pretty sore, but trying tylenol again. This is day 5, it has to start getting better right? right???? I hope. Gee whiz! The gas pain is killing me, but its not constant. My scale is cheap/crappy so I'm not sure, but think I'm down 15 lbs since the preop diet. Yay. I haven't tried on any real clothes. Too sore. Just checking in. Hope everyone has a restful/healing day. Hugs! Ambra
  3. I too was banded 9/29 and have pain in my chest. I thought it was due to hiatal hernia repair. Reading all these posts, maybe its the band. Hmmm? The gas pains are getting worse not better. Frustrated and hurting! Hugs girlie!!
  4. Thanks!!! Glad I woke up and have my band!!!! I'm 4 days postop, can I start drinking the protein supplements or am I supposed to wait on those? Probably dumb question, but I'm still kind of in a fog. Thanks! Ambra
  5. I was banded 9/29, outpatient and home by 5pm. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired. I've been pretty sore up under my ribcage and breastbone. Seems like there is more gas pain every day. Shouldn't it be getting better? I did take a shower and go for a short walk yesterday. I feel so wiped out after being up for more then 20 minutes. I know it will get better, but I'm getting ancy just laying around. Don't want to push it. And I'm so thankful that I don't feel hungry!!!!! Congrats to all of us!!!!!
  6. Thanks!!! and I'm glad to hear the chicken soup is decent.

  11. Good to know!!! I plan on making good choices and exercising, increasing intensity when able and I'm hoping to not be a muscleless blob  too. I am worried about my hair falling out, and I'm surprised at how many people do this and don't follow the rules. Eating healthy and exercising. Good to see people like you who did it, and did it right! I'm excited and nervous that it won't work for me. But I plan on making good choices, so it should work. I hope! I really want it too!!!!!
  12. I loved it! What is Alex's problem already? Wonder if the Army guy will be back? Maybe Christina should go with him, she's always so miserable. I heard somewhere that Izzy may be leaving the show cuz she's doing more movies. I hope not cuz she's my fave!

  15. I've tried several, they all taste yucky. Do you get used to it, or do you just keep trying different kinds? This stuff is expensive, and I know it's important so I'll keep trying to gag it down. Just wondering if you eventually get used to it. :tongue2:

  24. I have my preop appt thurs. A lot of people have been congratulating me tonight (I'm at work) on having my surgery so soon (next Mon). What they don't know is its been a long road coming and I've been waiting for a long time. With everyone talking about it, I'm kind of getting nervous. I still don't think I believe it's actually going to happen. Way to stick with it! And keep in touch, we're at a similar place in our "journey". Take care!
