My plan is going to allow oatmeal and yogurt as a “full liquid” which I found interesting

Tomorrow is the big day! No major pre-op diet. Today was liquids only after noon. Have to be at the hospital at 8am.

32 and having VSG on June 27th!

No pre-op diet for me! Am I the only one?

Just got my date today for July! I don’t have a pre-op diet but I’m supposed to work toward small weight loss 2 - 4 lbs a month and adjusting to eating more often

I’m just waiting for a date!! Not sure how far out my office is scheduling

So annoyed. My office is dragging their feet on submitting to insurance. Really hoping for a May date but we’ll see!

My EGD went great today. Going to call my surgeon and see if the office can get their paperwork together for insurance right away! Ahh! Feels much more real now I met my requirements

Tomorrow is my EGD!! Last step before submitting to insurance!

I got Cardiology approval today and EGD is next week. Hoping for a May date still but office is already scheduling into early May!

Curious, for those that are over 300 lbs what results did you see in 6 months or a year??

How long did everyone take to hear back from insurance? I just need cardiology approval (stress test is tomorrow) and my EGD on April 11th

Currently going through the process and really hoping for an approval for VSG in May. Looking for someone similar to me to connect with. About me: I am 32 years old, work full time, am married and have 1 daughter. She’ll be 4 in May. I have struggled with weight my entire life, lost a large amount my last year few years or college and put it back on plus more. I have been in the 300s for like 6 or 7 years and recently gained 25 more lbs during a stressful move. I am so excited and nervous to start this journey but I really want to play with my daughter and not be tired and have knee pain. If you can relate to me, we should connect. I’d love to have someone to walk through this journey with and become internet friends.
