I didn't go around broadcasting the surgery, I only told a few of my family members and close friends. I didn't feel others needed to know, it was a personal decision and definitely not ashamed of my decision, in 4 months I've lost 47 lbs. Coworkers comment on my weight loss and I tell them exercise and Portion Control, I feel that's more than enough informaton!!! Keep up the good work.

I know how you feel, I haven't lost any in the last week either, but we must keep the faith that we will get this weight off!!!

You should get approved with no problem, I was approved by Tricare in October 08 and had the surgery in December 22, 08 and I was only 80 lbs. over weight and one medical issue high blood pressure. I have lost 42 lbs. So Good Luck!

I will be banded on 12/22 and would love to have lap band buddies/mentors. I am still undecided if I want the Lap Band or Realize Band, my doctor said he will leave it up to me. ...

I am 48 years old, surgery scheduled for 12/22/08, weight 235 and the location is JFK West Palm Beach. I'm so excited just thinking about how close I am to loosing this weight and looking forward to a new me 2009.
