  1. Mine is Left maybe 2 inches above my Belly Button no problem with rubbing thankfully
  2. Ask your surgeon what his plan is. Mine has me on solids at 2 weeks albeit soft ones.
  3. My first goal is to just get under 200 lbs. When I get there I will restock and eventually try to get to about 150-160. I am tall and that is the upper range of healthy for me.
  4. My first fill is July 1st ugh. Wish it was sooner. I don't think Kaiser fills aggressively so I am not expecting to him my "sweet spot" for up to 6 months. I have a 14cc band and there is nothing in it right now.
  5. Mine has even edged up a couple pounds I am trying to step up exercise and keeping my calories to 1000. Not going to stress to much though I have kept 10 lbs off and I expected with the diet change to stall. I am also a bit bloated right now which could be adding as much as 5lbs. Does anyone know if you become dependent on milk of magnesia? The stuff tastes gross but I'm about to take a swig to relieve things a bit.
  6. I am envious of you guys that still have restriction. My appetite is back and I'm working on the will to keep my portions small. I can't wait until I get my first fill 7/1
  7. Yesterday: Breakfast: .5 Cup Cottage Cheese 81 calories 5 canned in no sugar Peach Slices 19 calories Snack: 1 Cup 1% milk 102 calories 2 TBSP Chocolate 90 calories Lunch Tuna Salad 120 calories Snack WW Cookies and Cream bar 70 calories Dinner Mediterranean Chicken Salad 470 calories Total = 952 Protein= 62 Grams Exercise = Worked out at Curves and streched
  8. I so agree Jachut though you sound a little braver than me on telling people where to get off lol. I think weight is so tied up with peoples emotional and mental selves that its not just a physical thing its become a part of their identity so if you tell someone heavy your getting surgery they subconsciously feel accused and attacked while thin people have no grasp of the struggle so just think you are being lazy. Not everyone but still a large quantity seem to. Its weird.
  9. I was told the band doesn't work unless you stick to the 3 meal a day plan?
  10. I stopped as well but I expected it. I know the first few months are a struggle due to lack of restriction. I get my first fill in 4 weeks. I am really hoping to get down to 270 we will see if I can do it.
  11. I have told VERY few people. Funny that the healthy ones are very supportive of me and the heavy ones immediately launch into a story about a friends, cousins sisters brother who died of WLS. My family has been very supportive they are not heavy like I am and have seen my mental and physical health decline as I've put on weight. I haven't told many people because I don't want to hear their opinions and I don't want to be watched. People who haven't done the research I have are going to have much higher expectations on my WL than is likely with the band and I don't want to deal with other peoples expectations my own are stressful enough lol.

  13. I'm a 21ster but Im jumping in anyway lol. I am in the same boat. Fighting my appetite again. I expected it though. I get my first fill in a month. Looking forward to it!
  14. My first came off after about a week and the rest were removed by the surgeon at my 11 day post op
  15. Its the User CP button at the top left. Then you want to edit your signature
  16. I don't have a lot of restriction right now. I am hungry a lot. I am trying to be strong lol. My first fill is scheduled July 1st. I would really like to be down to 270 by then. Will see if I can do it!
  17. Wow if its like the ad it will be awesome!!
  18. I asked my surgeon about putting something on them and he told me not to
  19. 1) I actually was curious about the whole gown thing so I asked one of the people introducing themselves pre op. I wanted to know if the surgery is on my tummy and the gown opens in the back how does that work. I was told the gown is lifted completely up during the surgery. I'm still not sure how that works sterilization wise lol. 2) I have read from one week to six weeks. I would ask your surgeon you will see each doc seems to follow a slightly tailored regimen. 3) I was told to avoid "activity" for 2 weeks. I do know others have waited 3 or 4 days and not had any problems based on threads I've read. 5) Still too new to have any shouldas. I am pretty comfortable with my level of info been researching it off and on for years lol
  20. Mine are still covered by steristrips. I have 5? Seemed like more than I thought it would be. The 2 bigger ones are still pretty sensitive I think one of them is the port but forgot to ask when I was at the hospital. I will know for sure on Tuesday lol.
  21. YOU know that never clicked I was wondering why people would get loose after having restriction. IT makes so much more sense now
  22. I was able to schedule mine on Thursday and had a long weekend so didn't have to go back until Tuesday. I think if I had gone back on Monday it might have been harder but I could have managed. Pain wasn't the problem though I did find sitting up straight put more pressure on the incisions. It was how tired I was.
  23. Im with you on the food front but I have been dropping weight fast. Either I was retaining a LOT of fluid or my body is working OT trying to heal. I have dropped almost 11 lbs since surgery.

I love Curves. I have been a member for awhile and whenever I work out regularly I feel better and have more energy. The work out can be made harder or easier. I think it will continue to suit my needs but I might add running or some extra stuff as I progress. They have also started a new thing in my curves where your info is entered into the computer a baseline is set and you use your tag at each station. Your progress is tracked and at the end of the workout you go to the computer and it tells you which machines you need to do better on and how many calories you are burning. If you consistently hit green they progress your routine making it harder.
