  1. Outstanding surgeon and hospital experience. VSG 5/11/22. Down 30 lbs. no post surgery has pains, etc. Happy to answer any questions. Good luck!
  2. Hi Suzy. Are you going with Dr. Shillingford? I just had an outstanding experience with both him and the Coral Springs medical center. I recommend 100%. I’m six weeks out, never really experienced any pain or discomfort other than a little bit at the incision sites, and I’m down about 24 pounds. Best of luck!
  3. Hi May Sleevers, Well it's been less than 48 hours since my surgery, and I may be the exception to the rule, but I feel really good! Overnight in the hospital and got great care, good rest, and good meds. Home yesterday and taking it easy. No gas pains at all. A little rumbling and "bubbles" in my abdomen once in a while but no pain. This morning I gulped my gatorade and learned that's not the way to do it :). Surgery was quick and I don't remember anything passed wheeling out of the prep room. Wishing those of you with upcoming dates an equally seamless beginning. PS I am self pay with Dr. Shillingford in Boca Raton, FL, and he has my very highest regards (the hospital staff too!)
  4. I'm loving these 1 year check-ins. Having VSG first thing in the morning, and I just sat outside watching the birds & squirrels play and questioning, "Do I really need to do this?" You all are helping me see the light. YES I DO. Wish me luck!
  5. Surgery twin! Where are you having yours? I'm on a weekend cruise, and start my pre-op on May 1.
  6. I'm scheduled same date and we have similar stats. I'm ready, not ready, ready.........
  7. I really needed to read this today. Thank you!

  9. OK April crew, you’re up! Best of luck and virtual hugs to all of you. Please come back and post updates! I’m rooting for you! Signed, anxious May Sleever?
  10. I could have written this. Scheduled for May 11th and feeling better about the decision every day. It will be here in no time.
  11. Good luck on your surgery. I'm also having the Sleeve surgery with Dr. S in May so would love to hear your feedback. I'm sure you'll do well!!
  12. Thanks. Exactly what I'm looking for. Good luck!
  13. Hi all. I'm scheduled for VSG May 2022 and am looking for Podcast recommendations. I'm not going to Blossom Bariatrics in Vegas, but they have a very informative podcast and I've covered every episode. I've covered Your Bariatric Journey also. Any other suggestions?? Thanks.
  14. Very helpful. Thank you both!
  15. Hi all. I'm scheduled for VGS early May and have an overseas trip planned for end of July (11 weeks later). I'm concerned about my energy level, etc. Anyone care to share your 3 month post op travel experiences? Thanks in advance
