  1. That is awesome! I had to donate all of my clothes also. I find it very hard to resist the urge to buy new and fitting clothes now. I go through the sizes very quickly. I'm down from size 52" to 38" inches (waist) pants in eight months and it feels great. I bought size 30" pants from my favorite brand (I was not able to find my size before) and I can't wait to finally be able to wear it. very soon I hope.
  2. This is a very inspiring thread! Well done you guys and gals! keep it up. I need to find some before photos (which can be difficult since I've always avoided having my photos taken). Not now tho.
  3. Doesn't get better than this 😂
  4. I always feel sad about wasting food whenever we go to a restaurant. Some of the restaurants over here have an option for "kids meal" which is usually half of the adult portion. I always order that whenever I go out with my family. It comes with a toy too 😂. Congratulation on loosing 100 lbs.
  5. I have lost about 50 kg so far and I think I will have some loose skin around the bottom of my stomach too. My arms as well. I'm planning to join the gym next month. Hopefully that will help.

    NSV - Amusement park!

I worry too much about limits myself. This happened recently when my friend asked me to try on his bike (I was considering to get a similar one). I didn't want the video of me breaking his bike going viral on the internet haha. We had to wait until there was no audience and then I took it for a ride. I have my own bike now 😀. Next up amusement park!
  7. I had a lot of NSVs since I had my surgery in January 22: 1. I recently bought a mountain bike and I've been riding it every night around my house. The longest distance I've complete was 8 KM on a slightly hilly area 😀. The last time I was able to ride a bike was 25 years ago 2. I had to get rid of all my old clothes since it does fit me anymore (I kept one shirt and pants to remind myself of how much I used to weigh). Went down from size 52" pant to size 38" in less than 8 months. 3. I bought a lot of fitting T-shirts, pants and even shorts from the regular size section of department store. Had to buy new shoes also since my old ones don't fit any more

    ONEderland!

Congratulations and well done! I can't wait for my weight to drop below 100 kg (3 kg to go). Hopefully before my 40th birthday by end of this month 😀
  9. Congratulation man! That is awesome. A true inspiration indeed. I have one question - did you have loose skin? How did you deal with it?

    Down 6 sizes!

Congratulations! I also know how good it feels. I've gone from size 52" pants to wearing 38-40" pants (depending on the cutting) in 7 months and I'm loving it.
  11. You look amazing! Well done
  12. Congratulations! You look like a totally different person in the second photo.

    NSV - Amusement park!

That is awesome! I also intend to do this with my kids as soon as I reach the weight limit of the amusement park. Your daughter seems happy in there

    Extreme tiredness

It could be that you are dumping. Do you feel anything else? Light-headed? sweaty? I used to feel the same after eating food that is high in carbs (bread, rice, pasta etc) which I was taking once a week or just eating too quickly. What worked for me is eating smaller portions and taking my time to chew my food. I drink water at least half an hour after the last portion. I hope this helps.
  15. Hi everyone! I've been a silent reader of these forums and have found a lot of answers and inspiration in here that helped me a lot along my weight loss journey. This is my first post and just wanted to first thank you for sharing your experiences and stories and to share mine as well. Hopefully this will inspire someone to take the decision. I had my surgery on 30 January 2022 and I'm glad I did. I'm going to be 40 in September and I've always been overweight. I've tried several diets, lost and gained a lot of weight. The last diet I've tried was Keto diet back in 2019. I was able to lose 25 Kg. Then Covid-19 came, the lockdowns and having to work from home. I gained all the weight back and some more 😥. Fast forward to January 2022. My sister (who is also overweight) was in Egypt on a business trip. She met one of her classmates in there who lost almost half of her weight and looked unrecognizable. My sister's friend recommended that she consult the same surgeon that did her mini gastric bypass surgery. After visiting that surgeon, my sister decided to have the surgery by mid January 2022. We talked about it and I discussed with the surgeon over Skype and made the arrangements to have mine by end of January 22. I had my surgery on 30 January 22 and stayed in the hospital for two days. I then flew back to Malaysia a week after. My starting weight was 149 Kg and my current is 103 Kg. I'm super happy with my decision and consider that to be my 40th birthday gift to myself. I feel and look amazing and I'm able to do a lot of the things that I've always wanted to do but couldn't because of my weight. I even got myself a mountain bike that I ride every night around my house. I hope I will be down to two-digits weight just in time for my 40th birthday! I'm planning to join a gym next month which will hopefully help with loose skin and speed up the weight loss. I've started a list of all of the things that I've always wanted to do but couldn't and I'm really excited to tick as items much as I can.
  16. Thanks! I have to lose 2 more kgs to go below 100. I'm so excited to see the magical 99 KG on the scale. Good luck to you also. Keto worked for me the first round and I lost a considerable weight. Not the second time though.
  17. Thank you so much! I'll definitely keep posting
  18. I'm originally from Sudan but I've been working and living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia since 2012. I had my surgery in Egypt (self-financed) back in January 2022.
