How have you been? Just stoping by to say hi. I hope all is well

  5. Hi Stephanie

My secret is that I was required to do a 6 month diet plan before surgery to satisfy my insurance. I lost 45 lbs before surgery and as of right now I am down 84 lbs total. So about 39 lbs from the band. I do exercise everyday. M-F I walk/run on the treadmill for at least 20 min and two days a week I will do strength training to try and keep from having sagging skin. I love my band and I would recommend it to anyone. Have you been banded yet? Good luck to you on your journey and keep me posted I love to see how everyone is doing! :)

  6. Congrats on your surgery date! You will love it! Keep us posted on how you are doing. I like to see how everyones journey goes. Good luck to you and Happy Holidays!

  8. Hi Stephanie

Good luck to you on getting your date! It is very exciting. Your hubby won't even recognize you the next time he sees you. May the lord bless him and bring him home safe to you. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! A year filled of change! I can't wait to get to my goal or just to even see that #1 on the scale! I am almost there. Best Wishes

  9. Hi I am sorry for responding to your question so late. With all the exersize it is hard to find time to get on here. But anyway losing 130 lbs is never easy but I dedicated one year of my life to exersize everyday and eat the right things. I won't eat mayo, fried foods, or fat dressings. I only drink water and skim milk. My surgeon told me that I would be lucky to lose 100 lbs. As of right now I have lost 147 so I guess I showed him. They call me their poster child which really makes me feel good. Believe in yourself and never give up and you will get what you want out of this whole process. Even if you just walk everyday it is better than sitting on the couch eating Dibs ice cream watching TV. Good luck to you! Keep me posted on your progress :)

  10. Happy Birthday Bloo! I just saw that it was your birthday in a fourm. Mine is tomorrow. You are looking great! Keep up the good work!

  11. Thank you for your comment. I work out a lot! I do 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmil a day which normally is around 3 miles a day. Then I do 50 min of circuit training with weights to tone up my muscles. As far as eating I will just tell you what I had for today

    B-light yogurt 6 oz

L-Whole grain pita with 1 tsp mustard turkey and tomato

    D- Grilled chicken, cabbage, strawberries

I do not eat any fried foods, mayo, or fatty dressings. and the only thing that I drink is water and skim milk for my protein.

I do still do my protein drinks. I have never been taken off of them. The doctor actually up my dose from 2 scoops to 3 scoops. How is your journey going? You are looking good! Keep up the good work!

  12. I would rather eat my calroies than drink them. I run on the treadmil for 2 miles at lunch and then do a 50 min workout at home. I will do 100 sit ups before I go to bed at night. It is all in what you put into it. I had a little trouble when I went in to get a fill. I was 5 months and just going in for my first fill. They found out that my port had flipped and I would have to go back in for surgery to get it stiched back in. After the revision surgery (two weeks later) I was able to get my first fill. After the fill I kept having problems with certain foods. I would have to throw up about every other day. I told my doctor and the suggested that I come in to have some fluid taken out. The doctors weighed me and found out that I was losing 5 lbs a week. Which is great weight loss for me but I told them I would rather not lose it that way. So they took out .10CC of fluid and I have been doing great again! I am on my average 3 lbs weight loss a week and I can eat anything so far.

  13. Hi Nichole

I was banded on 9/24/08. At 6 months I lost 115 lbs! The band is whatever you want to put into it. I work out a lot and I do not eat fried or fatty foods. I won't eat any fatty mayo or dressings. I only drink milk and water. (Continued)

  14. Keep in touch. Let me know how your journey goes I love to hear about peoples stories. Don't worry about anything you will do great and you will love it! :) Best wishes

  15. Hi

I just saw your pic comment and yes I lost 45 lbs before surgery and now I have lost 120 lbs total. I have 30 lbs to reach my goal! I am very excited. How is your journey going?

  16. Hey Ashley

How do you put that weight tracker on your page? I can not figure that out! Thanks

  17. Hi Twinkle

It will be worth it. I would do it over 10 times if I had to. I had to do a 6 month diet plan before surgery for my insurance to cover it. I was banded on 9/24/08 and I am down 82 lbs! I love it. I haven't had any complications or problems. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and keep me posted on how everything goes! :)

  18. My Surgery went fine. Hopefully now my port is in the right way and I will be able to get a fill. I go in on the 24th to see how I am healing. I hope all goes well for you with your fill. Hopefully they can hit it on the first try! :) Keep in touch

  19. Keep up the good work Speed! Great pics :)

  20. Hey

I haven't talked to you in a while. How are you doing? I see you lost 35lbs! Way to go! I just got banded last Wednesday 9/24/08. I am still a little sore but I am enjoying my sugar free fat free pudding! I lost a total of 45lbs before surgery and another 8lbs after surgery. So far I am at a total of 53lbs down! I am really excited to get rid of the rest. Do you have a lot of excess skin with your weightloss? Keep in touch!
