  1. It's a diet similar to one given post surgery. It's designed to get you back in touch with feeling band restriction. Days 1 & 2 are liquids only (broth, gello, protein drinks, soup). Day 3 is like mushies , soft food (eggs, etc). Day 4, proteins that are a little firmer (canned fish, etc). Day 5 for firm proteins (chicken breast). It also tells you to avoid the pitfalls of eating around the band, like eating "sliders", things that go down too easy. Like proteins swimming in sauce I did one day of liquids and it got me back on track. I am feeling my restriction again. I thought I needed another fill, but I don't, I need to stay away from "sliders" and get back to eating things that fill me up quickly.:tongue_smilie:
  2. yesterday (attempted the 5 day pouch diet) all liquids b-cookies and cream muscle milk s-south beach living protein water l-ham/cheese soup s-strawberry carnation instant breakfast d-ham/cheese soup today (although couldn't do 2 days of liquids, it did help) b-cookes and cream muscle milk s-2-3 bites of southwestern crepe (low carb crepe mix, scrambled egg with green onion topped with ff sour cream and salsa) l- cookies and cream muscle milk d-2 onion rings, about 5 bites of oriental chicken salad ---lots of water

    HELP Three days post op and hungry!

    milkshakes are all baaaaaaaaaaad. You can however get a high protein shake. I drink the world wide pure protein (at trader joes) or any other variety that tastes good. 3 days post opt I was starving so I made a very small bowl of cream of wheat and surpriselingly enough that did the trick:thumbup:

Ingredients 2 lbs chip steak or cube steaks, cut into strips 1 green pepper, cut into strips 1 red pepper, cut into strips 1 onion, thinly sliced 1/2 lb mushroom, sliced more to taste 1 tablespoon olive oil 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt 3/4-1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper 1/4 lb pepperoni, thinly sliced 8 ounces provolone cheese, thinly sliced Directions 1 saute mushrooms in olive oil until softened and light brown, about 5 minutes. 2 add to crockpot along with the rest of the ingredients, except the provolone. 3 cook on low for 6 hours. 4 stir well, add to 6 bowls. 5 cover with provolone and add some cooking juices to each bowl to melt the cheese

  11. Hi, everyone, it's been a long time, but I'm back. Kinda fell off the wagon, but I have a new strength. No more Desserts (they seem to go down too easy) yesterday b- vanilla creme Protein Shake (35g Protein, 2g carbs, 160 calories) l-taco salad, ground turkey, shredded lettuce, cheese, lf sour cream and salsa (yum-o) (1 cup):thumbup: d-cioppino (with salmon and scallops)
  12. I drink worlwide pure protein (I get it at trader Joes) or you can order on line at vigorousliving.com, I love the vanilla creme and cookies and cream flavors.. 35g of protein, 2 carbs, 260 calories for the 11 oz can.. They taste great and very filling

  14. This was the best thing I could have ever done. I haven't had any complications, no drama. I guess we have all gotten to the point where we are ready to shed this weight and keep it off. Not everyone here who has had the surgery was really ready (you can see it in their responses). Of course we're used to eating whatever we want, whenever we want, but look where that got us:thumbdown:. For me, this has been and will continue to be a life changing experience. I am eating better than I ever have in life, I'm exercising (I mean really exercising), I work out 5 days a week , 2 of those days with a personal trainer. It's only been about 6 weeks since surgery and I am getting so many compliments, people are really noticing. Others that need to do something about their weight are inquiring about the procedure. I would shout it from the mountain tops if I could. THE LAP BAND WAS THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME:thumbup::lovechoc::scared2:

  16. Ok, bloo, where do you find the sourdough wasa? I have only seen multi-grain and plain. Yesterday b-sf carnation instant breakfast s-1/4 cup pastrami and grilled onions topped with mustard l-2 pieces fish and zucchini d-1/4 of mexican pizza (taco bell), it was gross 1 hr at the gym:thumbup:

    I'm feeling great... 32 lbs gone forever. Even better, I have lost 17 inches. I love my band:thumbup:
