How much fill do you have?

My surgery was August 11, 2008, and still no fill beyond the 3cc at surgery. The weight loss has slowed to a strandstill and I'm sure I'll get a fill in two weeks during my next appt. My doctor has told me as long as I was losing weight and not fighting hunger, he would hold off on the fills. Preop weight: 323 Today: 234 Jeans, size 48 to 38 Shirts, size XXXL to L Personal Goal: 210

6 month Bandiversaries

February 11th was my 6 month bandiversarie. Start weight 323 I've lost 90 lbs since my pre-op weight. (yes us guys loose it faster) I've gone from size 48 to 38 jeans, and from XXL to large shirts. I can make 2 miles on a treadmill in less than 25 minutes (4 times a week) I have so much more energy. No more diabetic meds, or cpap and 1 less blood pressure med. Still no fill (Doctor says as long as I keep loosing, no need beyond the 3cc at surgery).
6. Doing great here. Down 80 pounds and no fill yet! Did 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday less than 25 mins. Weight training is progressing well too. I wish everyone the best in this new year of our lives. John Banded 8/11/08 PreOP Weight 323 BMI 42.6 1/7/09 243 BMI 32.1
7. I'm wishing all of us August Banders have a good Christmas season, continue to drop weight and become healthy. I was in Nashville TN the week before Thanksgiving for a convention and managed to maintain my weight that week and Thanksgiving week. I feel like I finally have a grip on the weight monster. Hope everyone is doing great. John Banded: August 11,2008 PreOP: 323 12/03/08: 251

Banded Yesterday

I'm only 4 months post op and I would NOT go back to where I was for anything. The first few days I had my doubts, but none at all now. Stick out these first few weeks, it will get better. John Banded Aug 11, 2008 Start weight: 323 12/3/08: 251

question about loss

I notice that I'm starting to get hungry quicker, but I am satisfied after eating. The weight continues to come off, 3 additional pounds (from last Monday) this morning.

question about loss

I was banded August 11 and have lost 70 pounds (started @ 323) and still have not had a fill above the 3cc done during surgery. The doctor has said as long as I keep loosing, there is no need for a fill. They said there is another patient, that is 5 months post op that hasnt had a fill either. Has anyone else gone this long? John

Woot 10 weeks and 40lbs down!

WTG Renob.... It's been almost 13 weeks since surgery and have dropped 65 pounds (includes pre-op diet). Still no fill. I want to lose about another 40. I now enjoy going to the gym, having a little trouble with the wife not as excited about going. John Preop 323 Today 258
13. Hey everyone... I was banded August 11th and doing great! No fill yet but I'm down from 323 to 258. I've been able to drop my diabetes meds, a blood pressure pill, and discontinue the cpap for sleep apnea. The doctor indicated that as long as I continue to loose weight, they will hold off of my first fill. John
14. I was banded August 11, 2008, no fill yet. Yesterday was 12 weeks post op. On my last appt, the doctor said I was doing good with the small fill during surgery, and my new learned eating habits are taking care of the weight. They mentioned ther was one guy that went 6 mts without a fill. PreOp weight: 323 BMI: 42.61 Today: 258 BMI: 34.04

Those packets you add to water

Crystal light is a lifesaver, no problems at all. I think Wal-Mart has trouble keeping up with the lemonade flavor because of me!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I'm 9 weeks post op and will have my first fill next Monday. PreOp 323 Surgery Aug 11, 2008 Today 266
