  1. I feel you on the mourning the food addiction all I want is to eat until I’m full it’s crazy how fast you have to come to terms with your addiction. Many times I wish I had never done this but I also recognize that that’s the addiction talking and that I will find more fulfillment in choosing to be healthy. Just have to keep the mindset I know I shouldn’t be weighing myself but I think after all the dieting that never stuck all the working out and the weight I would shed and quickly gain back the fact I’m watching the scale consistently show me I’m dropping weight it’s helping me realize that I made the right choice. I’m dreading the stalling period already but I’m getting better and not checking everyday but I have a smart scale called Fit Track Pro and every time I weigh myself it keeps track of it and I can watch it decrease and it also measure BMI muscle mass water intake and visceral fat of course not as accurate as the doctors office but it’s a very nice tool that I have I’m glad your feeling better if you ever wanna chat lemme know I’m always down for conversation ❤️
  2. My pain is on the upper right side incision I don’t know if you had the sleeve or not but I have 5 lil incisions kinda all in random spots the upper right where they went through the most stomach muscle is pretty sore but not sore enough that I can lay on my stomach and side if adjust carefully I recommend a pregnancy pillow they are fabulous after weight loss surgery. My liquids and protein intake has upped substantially so I’m really happy about that and I’m losing a bout 1-2 pounds a day so far so I’m pretty pleased my energy is up to I had a busy day today of errands and walking and I’m still pretty good. Wbu??
  3. Interesting, I just had to go look at my paperwork again to see if I had a stage 1 and I skipped it lol, I was actually told by my nutritionist to have sips of protein drinks in the hospital and I couldn’t keep it down which I’m not surprised now knowing that some of have protein drinks in stage 2 mine was very a lax transition where it was when you can have protein drinks drink them and if you can handle soups drink them with no timeline until the puréed stage which I’m so hyped for! Glad your having yogurt!
  4. I’m envious! My program I stay on liquids for three weeks until I get the okay from my nutrition counselor are you okayed for puréed now? Or just trying out some soft stuff!
  5. Me as well! I’m eager to hear how you are doing!!
  6. I’m so excited for you! You will do great! I’m looking forward to getting updates! ❤️
  7. Day 6 y’all and oof i feel like the wind has left my sails, I’m very crabby today my incisions are scabbed over but are extremely itchy and irritating and you know what I picked a little bit and then was upset when they all started bleeding. Nothing is satisfying today and all I want is solid food I’m trying to stay positive and hoping for a better day tomorrow hope you all are doing well and keeping positive ❤️
  8. We are strong we can do it! Mind over matter! I hope you are doing well keep the positivity up my friend! We are in this together.
  9. Ohhhhh my gooodnesss you guys! It’s day 5 and I’m gonna be real the whole not having solid food thing sucks my defenses are weakening! And I did a bad no no thing I had two sips of a sonic chocolate shake and was so so nauseated please don’t try it mistakes were made! I felt defeated and kinda disappointed that I went to the dark side like that. But then my friends I discovered something so so yum I can’t even begin! I was making some chicken tacos for the family I used chicken broth 3 large chicken breasts, taco seasoning, two cans of Rotel, I popped it all in the instant pot! Once done I scooped myself some of that delicious broth with a tiny dallop of sour cream and oh man it was so delicious little bit of spice little bit of tang from the sour cream it was awesome! I’m down 18 pounds already including the 2 day liquid diet before surgery and this was a win I really needed for a sour day! I hope you guys are all doing well and if you are struggling like me try this! I promise you will love it! Much love ❤️
  10. Bad bish energy I’m here for it! 💅🏼❤️
  11. Hellooooo!!! Day 4 if your insurance covers it please my friends go get yourself an infusion! Ask your docs and surgeon about them they are just wonderful and really put you on a pathway to success and no dehydration for you! They will pack it full of all the vitamins you need to be successful!! I had a sip of a premier protein and I kept it down perfect so it’s on now! And here are my favorite flavors and things you can do with them. My favorite brand at the moment is Premier Protein I was drinking these guys even before surgery because they are tasty and filling, the chocolate peanut butter cup flavor is sooooo so good I mixed that with my cold brew coffee and I was obsessed the Caramel flavor with coffee tastes like a caramel macchiato! When you are all able to have coffee of course the peanut butter cup flavor alone is also very nice tasting Now I have also discovered something else I loooove chai tea and chai tea lattes but these can be super high in carbs and sugar so this is my special potion hehe. The celestial seasonings brand has a spiced tea called Bengal Spice I brew that in 6oz of water and top it off with a vanilla premier protein and boom! Chai tea and it’s so tasty and high in protein! Now that I can keep the thicker protein drinks down I’m going to start playing with them! I hope you all have a nice day and are keeping those fluids under control sending love and hydration your way y’all! ❤️
  12. Zero sugars on this kind! And a couple of flavors I enjoyed these!
  13. Day 3 part 2! Those drinks you guys were pretty tasty, the V8 was more of a thick smoothie consistency the flavor I bought was berry açaí they also have a tropical mango pineapple one. I chose the berry flavor because it has less carbs per can. The Gatorade protein drinks were great! I recommend them cold or else that protein taste is stronger. Just took a walk to the end of the street and back and I’m wiped out! And you know I totally forgot it was Easter?! We kept it very low key this year and the fam chose to eat their meal while I was taking a nap which I thought was kind of them. I hope everyone else has a great Easter and day as we progress! Lots of love ❤️
  14. Day 3 y’all! My surgeon and nutritionist have both told me I should be feeling better daily and I’m so blessed in my case this is true. No throwing up today everything is staying down! My water intake is better and I’m currently having some strained cream of chicken soup that I thinned down with my water to make it easier on my tum! Today I’m focused on trying for more protein the thick premier proteins Im waiting for the 1 week mark to try again but I have found these alternatives! V8 has little baby cans that have 10g of protein I found at Walmart and also Gatorade has sugar free with 10g of protein. I also heard of this brand called BiPro that carried protein water that has 20g of protein! Premier protein also has a clear liquid drink that’s high in protein but very sweet, I’m hoping to have some success today with protein intake and get some more walking in! How is everyone else? Anyone want some reviews on the two drinks I’m picking up today? Lots of love ❤️
  15. Nausea is a lot better today! If you are getting the sleeve nausea is a very real thing we gotta face, don’t hesitate in the hospital if you can’t keep the oral meds down ask for an IV anti nausea that helped me quite a bit. Once you get home if you still can’t keep anything down if you have any local infusion spots or even ask your doctor even something as simple as a normal saline drip will help you! Just keep trying to take baby sips those super thick and sweet protein drinks may not be the best thing to introduce to your stomach first I found out pretty quick! I wish you good luck!! And so happy you decided to make this choice! ❤️
  16. Day 2 of post op! I’m kinda turning this into a little self journal for myself but also putting it out their to others in case anyone is experiencing the same thing, I think it’s nice not feeling so alone. Soooo starting Day 2 I’ve been yaking that bright yellow fluid and also kinda dark brown I’m assuming this is bile and stomach acid from the horrible after taste I’m getting. The oxycodone is helping with that abdominal pain big time and the melt in your mouth Zofran. water is still really hard to keep down and I could barely finish a popsicle!! Going from having like 2 or 3 as a sweet treat to not even half of one was mind blowing to me! I’m mustering the courage to try more water and some protein liquid today I have now a fear of throwing up just because it’s very painful. Keep hanging on my first week peeps it sucks now but the results are so worth it! Lots of ❤️
  17. Day 1 after surgery getting the gastric sleeve, when they said expect nausea they weren’t kidding I haven’t been able to keep anything thicker than water down, I woke from surgery vomiting and extreme nausea and discomfort. I was up and walking immediately which made the gas in the shoulders and chest tolerable I’m feeling a little defeated at the moment. I hoping I won’t have to stay another day in the hospital due to the having trouble keeping things down. How’s everyone else?
  18. Heyyy my surgery date is April 14th!!! I’m so happy for you all ❤️
