  1. I have a realize band and I use the realizeband.com site. It is great! I have to add in somethings but not much. How are you doing Anne?
  2. The patch is a prescription. I got it from my surgeon. He prescribed a month worth for postop. It works very well. Love it.
  3. I have just dealt with this. I had that on Sunday night. I used an anti nausea patch behind my ear. I was just nauseated alot, no vomiting. It was kind of painful, but not bad. Good luck guys.
  4. I too still have port pain. I saw my dr yesterday. He said it was very common. To take tylenol or advil. By the end of the work day I'm on edge because it is so sore. But he insists it will get better. I'm only 2 weeks out,so hopefully soon. Best of luck all!
  5. Congrats! I had mine done 13 days ago. I feel really good. I am back to work. Down 23lbs!!! You can do this. You will be tired for the next week or too, but you will perk up and do great! Try gas x for the back pain, it works wonders. Or a heating pad to the back works wonders too. Best of luck, keep us posted. Kelli
  6. I am a 10-22 girl too! I am still having a lot of discomfort with port. I have lost a total of 23lbs!!! Pre-op and post op combined. I'm getting really tired of liquid diet, I am soo ready for smushy! LOl. I've been walking quite a bit and it does really help the gas!!! Wow! Best of luck!
  7. I was banded on 10-22, i have to agree that heating pad, walking and gas x strips are a life saver.
  8. My day is tomorrow too! Good luck to you! I will pray that we both have success tomorrow and throughout our new adventure. Kelli
  9. I totally agree! We have a vitamin shoppe here in greenwood indiana and they are wonderful. I told them I was preop bariatric lapband and they led me by hand to the perfect protein supplements. They had everything I needed. I'm with you I LOVE VITAMIN SHOPPE!!!!

  13. WOW! I'm getting very nervous. My band day is Wednesday, less than 48 hrs away! Yikes!!!! SCARY!!!!! I'm on full liquids today and clear liquids tomorrow. Starting to really get the nerves. Any moral support would be very helpful!
  14. AWESOME! I hope i get to see what that is like. I'm tired of shopping at Lane Bryant.
  15. I know I am so with you guys. My surgery is the 22. My doc's diet is protein shake for breakfast and lunch, then 4-6 oz of protein and a low carb vegetable. I am starving before I can even get to dinner. I like the unjury chocolate shakes they taste good. I have been drinking a ton of water. That helps some, but I have cheated a few times. I know that is BAD, but wow didnt know how hard it would be to eat dinner after an all day fast. Best of luck to all. Kelli
  16. I with sharnut. I like the unjury chocolate. yumm!! I have been using a product from www.vitaminshoppe.com called matrix made by syntrax in the cookies and cream flavor. It is good, but it gets to be too sweet sometimes. It mixes really well in a blender and is good with ice in it. I know I have been struggling to do the preop liquid diet too. best of luck. Kelli
  17. My dr recommends using dial soap. Once the night before and then once again on the morning of. I guess they are just trying to kill the skin germies. Good luck, keep us posted. Kelli
  18. Called md. My blood sugar was 50! I have a glucometer, because I help take care of my grandma. Wow. Dr. said to add in a few more carbs, all low carb is hard on me with hypoglycemia. I feel better now just ate something. Thank!
  19. Ok, I am on the 2 week preop liquid diet. I am sweating to death. Is this normal? Help. Drinking tons of water! I have the ac on and it's only 65 degrees outside.
  20. My husband is strugglin with this too. He is worried, because we like to go out to eat. I've been trying to watch what I eat for the last few months, to show him somewhat how it will be. He is very supportive, which it seems like you are too. Best of luck to you and your honey. You guys will get through it.
  21. I think that is a great idea! and wonderful you have so much support!!! I had one with my hubby and girls on Monday night ( I started liquid diet on Wednesday). Best of luck to you.
