Hey Susan, I think you look great!!!! Sorry you're still so swollen. Don't know much about that, but I imagine it's uncomfortable. But from what I heard that will pass. You really do look wonderful. Congrats!!!! Sam
  6. Wow! What an awesome Christmas for all of you. How wonderful that the band has brought you all closer. Sometimes I get depressed for all I may not have, but what a great reminder to be thankful for what I do have and how much healthier I am after losing all this weight. Awesome story! Happy New Year to you and yours!!!! Sam
  7. Glad to hear you're progressing with the physical therapy and getting more mobility back. Thanks for the encouragement too about my kids. Can't wait to see your pics. Don't worry too much about the scars. I hear it takes awhile for them to fade. Yeah 2009. I'm ready to open a bottle of champaigne right now. Congrats on the new you in 2009! Sam
  8. Karey, Hope the meal turned out well! Mine are 15 and 12 and I can't picture them cooking yet as my girl, 15 doesnt like to read the instructions when she cooks. Things turn out interesting. But they didn't fight all day. (wow) as a present to me for Christmas, so maybe they are growing up. lol. Glad you got to rest and hope that knee is healing up really well. Happy New Year! Sam

Susan, hope you're feeling better. What a bummer to have everyone coming down with something. Don't know if you still have drains, but if so, hopefully they'll be out tomorrow! Take care, Sam

  14. Good luck Karey. You'll make it through this, piece of cake. My brother had the surgery and he was a baby about it, but most(not all) men are about aches and pains. lol He never would have been able to go through your surgeries. Chin up and Merry, Merry Christmas to you! Sam
  15. Conrats Renewed! That's awesome news. Sam
  16. Hey Marjorie, Sorry you're having a rough time. You have a reason to be grumpy. Sending you some prayers to get better real soon. Hang in there, sweetie. Things will look up. Sam
  17. Karey, You've really been through a lot and I think it's normal to feel that way. I'm pre-ps, but after losing 100 lbs I look wayyyy better. I'm fairly attractive, but I'm still kind of this shy, former fat, insecure person. I should be ecstatic and for the most part I am, but then I look at the belly and arms, (my legs always looked fine) and I'm depressed. But even after I change that, I'll still have to deal with the other issues. My situation is different in a way as I'm single and have issues of should I put myself out there? or just be content with how things are now, but basically I think we all have those moments when we start over-analyzing our lives and nit-picking at those minute flaws. Nobody is perfect and whether we're fat or thin or flat or flabby we're still the same inside. I guess that's the person I need to love more. ok, ok, probably too chatty, but that's were I'm at. Hang in there, girl. You look great and are healing well. You probably just have a lot of time to think! Have a good weekend! Sam
  18. Glad to hear your making process and starting to walk again. Don't kill yourself with your progress. You'll get there!!!! Sam
  19. Hi All! I'm in the Austin area and am starting to consider a tummy tuck/breast lift. Does anyone have any recommendations on plastic surgeons in this area? Thanks in advance! Sam
  20. Gracie99, I only went once and it had a new patient fee included, however they discounted it because I was going to be one of the first to be done with the dr. with someone there to help train, ( a guinea pig kinda, lol), anyway, I just tried there site and I couldnt find a pricing guide. Sorry, here is there # though 866-345-5872. (I went last spring and I can't remember what it was) Sorry, i couldnt be more help. Sam
  21. Renewed, Glad to here your doing well. I can't stand the itching thing. That will probably drive me crazy. I have an old c-section scar that really itches, espcially with the extra skin on top of it. I'm hoping alot of that scar, (and stretch marks) will go when I have my tummytuck. Hang in there! I'm sure it will stop soon and hopefully the staples all come out asap! Sam
  22. Hey Gracie, I actually went to mexico for the band. I went to Dr Garwood for fills because at the time no one in austin was doing mx patients and that was a nicer drive as I lived North of Austin than San Antonio. The last fill however that I did was at Fill Centers USA. I was one of their first patients in Austin. Haven't updated my info with that. (I still liked Dr. Garwood better as he does the surgery. Sam
  23. Karey, You look like you're healing up really well. The dehiss thing looks painful, but it also looks like it's healing. Hang in there and thanks for the pics. Sam
  24. Thanks Donna, but I don't have a good track record with 'em. lol........Maybe a super nice boyfriend, but I'll probably just settle for one of my kids, (12 and 15). They're a big help.
  25. Wow! You look frigging awesome!!!!!!!!
