  1. I'm a big wine drinker and really have to watch my intake as it affects me a lot faster now than when I was 100 lbs heavier, (duh). My max is 2 glasses. I find I do better if I wait until after I eat so it doesnt affect me so much and because there is some restriction so that naturally slows me down also. Good luck with this! Sam
  2. Hi had the lapband in TJ Mx in 06 and travelled to the Dominican Republic for my tummytuck/breast lift in April 09. I stayed for a week then flew home. Connecting flights and coming back through customs was not fun and I was by myself. I didn't have any problems and have had none from the surgery, but I don't know that I would recommend the travel unless you have someone that could help you. Good luck! Sam
  3. I just wanted to post that I had a fill with Dr. Stephanie Eijsink in College Station as the Austin fill center has been down for awhile,(dr on maternity) and Dr. Garwood moved to Lufkin. She was wonderful. She travels to Bryan/College Station and somewhere in Ft Worth also and I believe only does Saturday appointments. It was 200.00 with fluro and she and her husband and nutritionalist who were there were great! Sam
  4. I'm very happy for you!
  5. maryrose, Hope you get some answers from people who've had both. I'm going to be getting tummy tuck/bl/ba next week. I'd have to think the tummy tuck would be worse as most tt's involve muscle repair. (i did have a c-sec with one of my kids and it was painful!) Good luck to you! Sam
  6. Julie, I hope you get some relief from the pain and swelling. Hang in there. You've done such fantastic work and you'll get through this. Sam
  7. Tina, you look great! Congrats! Heal up fast! Sam
  8. Lellow I'm so happy for you. You seem to be healing really well. Enjoy your new body. Sam
  9. Lellow you look fantastic! I hope that I look that good after I have surgery. Thanks for sharing. Sam

  11. Congrats to you! I'm pre myself. No advice, but I'm very excited for you! Were are you having your surgery?
  12. Glad to hear you're healing up nicely! I will be doing tummy tuck/breast lift/aug soon, but boy, sure wish i could do the arms also. (i absolutely hate them!) When you feel ready to post pics, would love to see them. Thanks! Sam
  13. Hoping for speedy recovery and little pain for you. I'm very excited for you also! congrats!
  14. Heidi, I've also felt a little of that, but what's done is done. I just try to be happy with the weight lost and keep saving! Sam
  15. I'm so sorry, Karey. Hang in there, I know this must be very rough on you. Big Hugs. Sam
  16. Hey TusconD, I'm pre plastic myself so I can't answer your questions. It sure is a lot to think about. I'm looking into tummytuck and lift/augmentation. Would love to do arms also, but that would need more time to save up. Darn. Congrats on your weight loss, and hope you get some more answers. Sam
  17. I'm sorry you're having to go through this. I'm pre-plastic surgery myself but as far as the being depressed and not going for a fill because of the gain that is not a good idea. That happened to me once and I gained 15 lbs. I had to suck it up and go see the Dr. rather sheepishly, but am glad I did. He really wasn't that bad. lol. Anyway, hope you get some more responses, but know that I'm thinking about you. Hope you get some relief from that pain. Sam
  18. You do look great! Congrats! Sam
  19. Hope you're feeling better and recovering well. Sending you some healing vibes!
  20. I'm so sorry this happened. Hang in there. Don't worry about pics. Hope the pain starts to go down soon. Hang in there. Sam
  21. Congrats! I am so excited for you.
  22. WhooHoo! Congrats! Sam
  23. Lellow, thanks for the info. I've just been looking into the tummy tuck/breast lift, my thighs and backside have been pretty good, but I took a good lack at my bum area yesterday and maybe it's with this last 10 lbs, but geesh i'm saggy there now. Don't think I could handle the full lower body lift, cost and recovery, though. Soooo, i guess for my i need to start trying some serious exercise for that part of me. lol. Good luck on the finalizing the financing issues. Sam
  24. Karey, i think you've got a great perspective on this issue. You seem to be in a good place right now. Sam
  25. Jfran, you look awesome! Congrats on your progress, can't wait to see how your arms look. Thanks for sharing. Sam
