  1. Hello I am a newbie Gastric Sleeve patient. I had my surgery August 31, 2022 and I am currently on Phase 1 all liquid diet I am open to any and all advice as to how to manage my fluids, also how do I know for sure when I am full?

just stick to amounts for now as in the earliy stages some of us dont get the normal full feeling and be aware now that you have had surgery "full" doesnt feel like full did before. just a tip post your questions in the forums people just generally answer questions on statuses. They just dont get seen :)

  2. I am looking for people to connect with that are 4-5 years out. Many of the support sights I go to are all newbies. And while I enjoyed that when i first had my surgery and found it useful, I am looking to exchange ideas with folks that are out a few years. I am slowly gaining weight back and losing my excitement. I don't want that!

Maybe post in the forums. It's a more active areaI have noticed no one replies to status updates

  3. How do you stay focused? I'm struggling a bit the past three days.  All I want is sweets and carbs.  I have no clue what changed but for some reason I'm craving hard.  I'm literally dreaming about food and when I wake up, I'm thinking about my next meal.  I'm not "hungry" but so munchy.  I'm trying to stay focused, busy, exercise and the likes but this looking struggle is getting to be so hard.  I meet with my nutritionist tomorrow and I'm so hopeful she has some advice.  My protein intake is great, liquids on point, even throwing in some raw veggies and berries to curb the sweet/carb craving.  Thoughts?

  4. No judgement please, but I've been stressed a lot since surgery and for the past several days have been eating small portions of pretty chewed up solid foods. I am 8 days post op. Please tell me it's not too late to course correct?

Hi, don't stress about it to much, but yes get yourself back on track with the plan your team gave you as soon as you can.

  5. One more month until my lower body lift. 😷

Getting both excited and scared here. Hopefully blood panel will be ok and PCR test negative. Meh.

(Oh, and I'm also already worrying about scheduling the next round of plastics, hopefully they will do thighs and breasts together, not sure... arms would be cool as well. Errrr......)

  6. 😫 Hi, I’m new to bariatricpal! I am 8 days post op VSG. I am struggling very badly. I’ve been so emotional because I feel like I’m doing wrong. I’m afraid I’ll eat or drink to fast or eat the wrong thing. I’ve been on Pinterest and YouTube constantly for help. I have followed all of my surgeons and dieticians instructions. I just don’t know if my body is getting enough. Today, I am weak, sore, and just exhausted.

  10. How do I delete my account on here?

Hi, I have been having a look around the site, I cant find anywhere that you can delete your account yourself, However in the rules it indicates that staff can delete accounts so maybe use the "contact us" tab at the very bottom of the page and ask for assistance there.

  11. Hello everyone.. I had my surgery on Sept 30th 2021.. and it has been an horrible experience to me. I can't hold down fluids or soft food. so much mucus is coming up!! and I'm spitting all day. I'm so sad over this journey. is anyone having this same issue? if so, what are you doing about it.

Are you on meds for reflux? If not you should be at this point. If you are already on reflux meds get in touch with your surgeon asap as this is not normal. If fact i would be getting in touch with the surgeon either way. I hope your issue is resolved and you feel better soon
