  1. I agree, it seems to be a very testing time for a lot of our group.........blessings to you all! I am fine, have sore throat so off work for a day or two, not exercising, but that is ok, maybe tomorrow. It is so hot here, I must go and buy a fan here, not many houses have air-conditioning. Have been picking heaps out of my garden, I am so excited.

Anyone have a good, healthy suggestion for a Salad Dressing?

Hope things get better for everyone!!!

    Love Amourette XX:D

  2. Hiya, I am an international flight attendant and have NEVER had a problem even in the States, but be warned the band seems to expand at pressure, I can usually only eat Soups and liquids so if it is a long flight,be prepared perhaps with some of your own food!!!!

    Ok, enjoy your holiday!!!!

  3. :biggrin1: :) You guys are all so funny, you must have spent the day thinking I am a wanton woman or something hehe!!! A 'snog' means a kiss but not just a peck on the lips, a bit more amorous.....it was nice to be snogged for the first time in 3 (THREE!!!!!!) years.

Julie, sorry about your fall, hopefully you will be ok tomorrow. I love my boots as well, and am sure it is only a matter of time for me to fall in them also..........

I didn't exercise today but will do a run at the gym tomorrow. Have to start work at midnight tomorrow to do an all-night flight to Samoa and back, yuck!

    Bye for now,

Don't do too much snogging everyone, hehehehe!!!:peace:

  4. Well girls I had another great date with this great guy, there has to be SOMETHING wrong with him, we ate a curry (thank god I didn't slime or pb or anything), i had been putting off eating in front of him but it had to happen sooner or later, we watched Talledega (sp?) nights, it wasnt very good, I got a snog (hehehe) and he brought me flowers, he is off to Melbourne now for two weeks:cry

Gosh girls I hope I dont muck this one up......!:phanvan

  5. You had a date, wow...............tell us all, I don't wanna be the only one who has to spill on my love life...........hehehe!!! Sorry it didn't go well, will you see him again, to be honest, my last date commented last week how we hadnt had a dinner out yet and I thought..............um, funny that!

Julie, congrats on your run, need to set a goal like that..........how do you warm up, I walk 5 mins then do inclines to level 5 then run after that, does that make sense to you , do you have any advice!

Girls I did my 45 mins cardio and half hour weights,, oh yes the firemen were there today.........but I was too busy looking at my own sexy body..........................hehehehe!!!!

Gals.........any other thread isnt going to compete with this..........it is too good as long as you don't mind my rants, especially when I am away I get tetchy and have to talk!!!!

    hehehe

    Love to you all

  6. Here I am back.......was thinking about the issues brought forth with our Feb challenge and wanted to say something...........I am totally into my exercise but it isn't for everyone and I feel in a way we are shutting out people on this thread that maybe don't wanna exercise but have improved their lives in other ways. I personally wasn't going to go back to gym but have and love it but if I hadn't I was going to at least try to move more........are we excluding these people, it is a very exercise orientated thread!

I don't know.........just a thought, what do you all think!!!

  7. Well I think the curse of the band has finally happened, my flatmate made a pass at me and tried to kiss me, it wasn't funny at the time and I have had to ask him to leave, but I am starting to laugh a bit now about it, just think, he wouldn't have tried it on a year ago at my previous weight, guess I should be flattered?

Other gossip is I had another date with this guy I met at speedating and it went soooooo well, we had a swim at the beach, a NSV for me, have never been comfortable wearing togs in front of any boyfriend, and I just didn't care this time,I wore small board shorts but they were so loose, yipppee!!!!

Oh and I may have got a small kiss but I guess I shouldn't tell, hehehe!!!

I am off to San Francisco tomorrow, hate to leave the summer weather here but we have to work, don't we!!!!

    Bye everyone!!!:D

  8. that is fantastic, there is no way you are not taking him up on the offer I hope..........what is, or who I should say, hehe is at the celebrity gym , what is it? Man, you could be our first marathoner at this rate.

Also what do you do while you are on the epiliptical (sp?) trainer, do you listen to music or tv????

    YOu go girl!!!!:clap2: :clap2:

  9. Glad u did that workout, did she work you hard? Bet you felt good afterwards! Wow, to talk about a fitness competition, maybe you are going to be her next star, I sometimes read those training magazines and those girls work out so much and eat so little and so cleanly.

Well it is my last day in Japan, heading home in 6 hours, but have a 18 hour work day in front of me......is a holiday weekend at home so that is good, I think I might be going on another date this weekend (with same guy)!!

    Wish me luck!

  10. that is soooo funny, I keep laughing about it, I think u will have to post a video for us to view and give you feedback. :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :heh:

Yippee everyone, I thought I would take it easy after one too many sakes last nite so set off along the river next to the hotel and started a jog just to get my heart rate up and then kept going a whole hour!!!! I am so excited, I wasn't that fast but I didn't stop!!!!

    Yippeee:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

  11. Next I fly to San Francisco, but that is next week, what a shame none of you live up there...........my roster is very good, not normally such great work, but the week after that I have horrible day trips which are draining and a horrid start at midnight to fly to Samoa and back in the same duty, yuck!

We are provided our uniform (thank goodness), but we buy our own shoes and stockings, I get thru' so many stockings, it is really annoying, so changing my uniform isn't too hard at all, I just fill a form in and send it away and they courier it back to my house, I am ready for a smaller skirt and hopefully trousers will be next!!!

  12. Japan actually is a bit boring, well where I am staying is, there is no tV except CNN and BBC, the shops are bad, I am getting a bit bored, thank goodness for the free internet. Yes I must buy some dry Beans I have seen them here somewhere for sale, just is a shame if you only want a few for a salad though.

Your run was great, was laughing about your run, and the animals, do you really run like Phoebe, I laughed so hard at that episode.

  13. Was sitting here on my computer when your post came thru', what an amazing and strong person you are, and how much you do for your brother. It is interesting to learn more about each other and what we face and how we live, I hope the day goes good, your brother is so lucky to have you, I truly hope what goes around, comes around.

    God Bless You

  14. Hi, I am sitting in Japan, after a long day at work today, it is freezing here, so now I understand what you are all dealing with in the States.........there is a nice river next to the hotel so I am going to run along it tomorrow, and walk when I can't run, obviously........

Kat, sorry to hear about your incident, it must have been very scary, I would have freaked, thank goodness you knew what to do. Julie, good luck with the apartment closing, you should show us some photos..........

Betty, the chilli sounds good, it is so hard to get certain foods down our way though, have I told you all about how I lug home cans of pinto and black Beans 'cos they are so hard to get here and cost around $4.99 a can!!! Ridiculous don't you think? I brought home some chipotles last week, so looking forward to using those....!

Ooooh and there is free internet in this hotel (very unusual) so I will be checking in.

Oh and yes I have gone down two uniform sizes and today my trouser and skirt were hanging off me and I will have to change them also, wow, it is soooo exciting!

  15. HI everyone, I found this thread today, and wanted to introduce myself also.

I am Fiona, from Auckland NZ, banded last April 18th in Auckland. I am doing well on my journey, plugging along slowly, have lost 24 kgs so am really pleased. Also have regained interest in life again and started dating (now that's scary hehehe) and love going to the gym again. I am so thankful not to be obsessed about food anymore.

Glad to see an aussie thread going on this site, this is a great site, I love it.

    Hi to you all!

  16. I went to the gym today and did 50 mins cardio and 20 mins of leg training, I actually enjoyed it as well, I am so glad I am back into the exercise again!

I can't believe how much some of you have all lost, I am nowhere near that, but then I guess I had less to lose and it will be slower....(?)

I am laughing about all the cold weather discussions, I am overheating her, it is humid in NZ already, I have just rolled up my track pants as I am talking to you, 'cos it is WARM!!!! My problem is that there is no air-conditioning at my gym, isn't it funny!!!!

Off to mow my mum's lawns soon, so that is some more exercise!!!!

XX Amourette, all have a good day!:o

  17. I have been reading all the messages, there were so many to catch up on, thanx for the photo Eva, you always look really good.

I have just completed my first trip back at work, I went to Honolulu which was a nice start to being back at work and I am about to go to Japan. I am really getting into the exercise soon, but I confess to scoffing some Peanut Butter m&m's, we don't get them in New Zealand and I couldn't resist buying some, hehehe!! Don't feel guilty though as I don't have a sweet tooth normally.

My biggish news is that I went on another date with I guy I met speedating before Xmas, I had been away so we caught up last week and have had two dates, he seems very nice and it may not come to anything, but I am so pleased I forced myself to get back out there. I was sooooo nervous though, I threw up before I went, hehehe!!! I am planning another speed-dating event, but my rosters seem to have me away for the next few ones.

My garden is blooming in this early summer heat and I picked my first tomatoes finally today, I normally kill everything in a pot or soil so this is a big achievement for me.

    Hi to you all,

    Bye for now

    Amourette XX

I keep trying to download photos for you, but they keep saying they are too big, and I can't seem to reduce them enough to send them, could be a problem with my camera? I will have to sort it out!:tired
