Daddydrisk got a reaction from cdmesa2005 in How long will I be off of work?
All depends on how strenuous your work is. My job is pretty labor intensive so I took a full 6 weeks but I know some that was back at work within 2. Just be honest with the surgeon when you go to post op appts. on how you're feeling...

Daddydrisk got a reaction from successboundNP in April 2021 Bypassers
I had my surgery on April 28th, 2021 at astonishing 444 (481 was my highest recorded...July 2020). So far I'm down to 355! Everyone I've talked to says I'm flying with my weight loss compared to others......anyone else have the pounds and inches melt away this quick?

Already feeling that already. My house use to be set at no higher than 66 cause I stayed so hot. Now it rarely drops below 68.

Try cutting carbs down to 30 or less a day and try to kick start you body into ketosis. I hit a wall at a month out and gave that a shot. Not only will it be clean eating but energy levels will rise. All of this was recommended by my nutritionist and doc. Keep your head up. Rome wasn't built in a day!

Your body is a furnace & the more weight you carry the harder it has to work & the hotter it gets. Sweating is how your body cools itself. As you get fitter your body doesn’t have to exert itself & overheat as much so you’ll sweat less. Plus you’re not carrying around as much weight.
Just wait until you lose enough to start to feel the cold. Brrr. You’re losing all that fat insulation.

Daddydrisk got a reaction from star618 in How long till you felt up to normal activity?
I had surgery on April 28th and within 2 weeks I was feeling "normal" until I started trying to be as active as I was before hand. Just walk as much as possible but try not to break a hard sweat until a few weeks out. It'll be a struggle to get your Fluid intake at first and it won't be any easier if you put out more than you take in.....this is spoken from experience.
