  1. Do you still lose weight after being 1 year post op? I've been incorporating strength training in my routine these last 2 months but haven't noticed any weight loss and I'm nearing 1 year. I'm a few pounds away from my goal so I'm really hoping I can reach it soon.
  2. I’ve never really had a major plateau after my vsg other than a few days or so with no weight loss. I’m at 9 and half months post op and have noticed I haven’t lost any weight these past 3 weeks. I’m only a few pounds away from my goal and I’m wondering will I still lose weight or is this it?
  3. Thank you for sharing your experience!! I was actually interested in the recovery process and pain as well since I’m looking into getting plastics soon
  4. Wow congratulations!! This is so an amazing accomplishment☺️ I plan on getting a tummy tuck eventually so hopefully then it’ll help make things look flatter and not as saggy as they are now
  5. Thank you for your response!! Congratulations to you as well?? I’m planning on getting a tummy tuck within the next 4 years so hopefully it’ll help me too. I was just curious if anyone else had this issue since I didn’t notice it as much before. Then again my stomach was huge so anything else looked small in comparison so I guess that’s why I’m noticing it now.
  6. I’m 9 months post op from having a gastric sleeve and have lost over 100lbs. I'm 9lbs from my goal but I noticed my lower stomach and upper pelvic region really sticks out and I was wondering if it'll ever go away? I haven't been thin or at a healthy weight since I was a pre teen so I can't even remember if I've had this issue back then.
  7. That’s a smart way to track it but congratulations of your success!!
  8. That’s amazing but aww it’s always those last few pounds that are the hardest to lose but I know you got this!!!Congratulations on all that you achieved already!!
  9. Oh gosh, that’s what I heard. I’m just trying to stay motivated and not check the scale as often because I just want to finally be at a healthy weight!!
  10. Congratulations and thank you for sharing!! I just had Covid and lost 3lbs so I’m wondering if they’ll come back but I’m only 6 months post-op
  11. Congratulations!! That’s amazing and I hope it continues to go well for you! Sorry to hear about the heartburn. I haven’t had any issues with that but I know many people who have. Hopefully things will get better in that regard.
  12. I lost 93lbs in the first 6 months after I got a vsg. I have 20lbs until I reach a healthy weight and was wondering how much weight did you lose per month after 6 months?
  13. I’m almost 6 months post-op and lost over 90lbs. I haven’t had any major stalls in my weight loss but I just weighed myself and saw I gained 3lbs. Is this normal? I’ve been following everything I need to so I’m confused
  14. Wishing you all the best with your appointment tomorrow!!
  15. Luckily it was nothing. All my labs were normal and I haven’t had any issues since then!! I hope your pain and soreness goes away soon as well?
  16. Oh wow so even after 2 years it can still be an issue. I didn’t even know that. Thank you for sharing that and I hope it gets better for you soon!!
  17. It definitely does suck but thankfully my hair was pretty full too so the only place where it’s noticeable is the ends (since I had layers) and the top of my head. Luckily it seemed to slow down a bit but I might do the same thing and cut it soon. I completely agree and feel a lot more confident to pull off shorter hair now that I’m a bit thinner!!
  18. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond!! This was honestly so helpful and although my hair is still falling out it seems to have slowed down a bit so hopefully it won’t come out in chunks again. I really appreciate your response!!
  19. I’m taking my vitamins as directed and I always make sure I get enough protein in which is why I’m so concerned. I feel like I started losing hair quite early and I lost 50% so I’m really worried
  20. I had my VSG the last week of June so I’m almost 10 weeks post op. I normally have really thick, long hair but the last few weeks I’ve lost so much hair that it’s about 50% gone. Most people I’ve read on here didn’t experience hair loss until later so I’m scared I might lose even more. How long until it stops and should I be worried about bald spots?
  21. I have PCOS and have been taking Yasmin for years and loved it. I just had my VSG done 3 weeks ago and decided to switch to Nexplanon because I heard there may be issues with pill absorption. I was wondering if anyone got the implant after their surgery and what their experience was like.
  22. I’m 2 and a half weeks post op from my vsg and everything’s been going well. I didn’t have any pain or other complications but today is my 2nd day of purée. I only managed to get some eggs down but didn’t have any issues. A few hours later I started noticing tenderness around the right side of my stomach and now it’s actually starting to hurt even if I barely touch it. I also notice it’s starting to look swollen just on that side. I don’t want to panic but has anyone else had this or should I go to the ER if it continues?
  23. Ugh it’s terrible isn’t it. I still haven’t lost weight and I’m approaching 3 weeks but hopefully we’ll see something soon!
  24. I have PCOS but my periods have been regular since I use Yasmin. I had my vsg done over a week ago and got my period 3 days post-op. I started Yasmin again but noticed my period is heavier and where usually it lasts 3-5 days, it’s almost been a week now. Is that normal?
