Bandster Hell: 3-8wks postop. Hungry with No Restriction.
terelbel replied to lingling's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm a 8 to five nurse and it is so hard for me to commit to food and drinking during working hrs. I have to make my self eat or take a drink and go to the bathroom. It's been like this for years. I make sure to get my protein shakes in and right now that's the best I can do. I know I have to do better. I commit today to at least have the water on my desk to sip through out the day. Thanks for the good tips -
I share your happiness! Today is the first day of the rest of your life!

{{{HUG}}} Remember, and this too shall pass. One day, step, moment at time, you will get through. We are also here if you need to vent, cry out loud, whatever!!!

Bandster Hell: 3-8wks postop. Hungry with No Restriction.
terelbel replied to lingling's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am 2 weeks post op and can eat w/o restriction, I do make an effort to limit what I eat, but feel hungry all the time. I have a 900cal/70gm protien diet and I know I don't get the whole 900 cals daily. I have not lost one ounce of wt since my surgery April 17, and trying not to become discourage, don't make a difference if I do, I know I must do well on my part and listen to the docs. But I do want to scream. Every one tells me they do notice my wt has gone down. I do believe I have lost inches without the pounds. I will keep on trucking.... -
Possible to stretch pouch on liquids?

I never heard of this bansters hell, can you explain more to me. I was banded April 17 and been doing good, feeling wonderful, no post op wows at all but it seem as of Saturday (and that's also the day I woke with no signs of having surger, just felt good), but as of Sat. I seem to can drink...ALOT, and hungry all the dame time. -
Keep your head up, certainly you know what you have to do. And don't let people talk to you any kind a way either. You call them out. Some time you have to demand respect, verbally. See how it make them feel! Ultimately your wt loss will prove all nay sayers wrong. Do it for you.

Those that have had surgery this week

I think about food a lot. Can't really tolerate much, but I don't like thinking about food as much I'm doing. I hope it will pass. My liquids I sip all day and when full just stop. I do need to get in more protein. -
I will keep you and your health lifted. In the meantime stay positive and do what the docs tell ya.

Well good luck to the both of you! I'm one week post op as well. Friday was an awkward day, but the weekend rest helped me out a lot.

Hi, I just think it's pure stress and it's putting your hormones off kilter. I'd just try to relax that mind, and you know it will show it's ugly head and like when we were (busy) teenagers you breath a sigh of relief when you see the bogger!

I don't know if it's cause it's that time of month, but I was banded Friday (04/17), my cycle is due the end of this week and I want all bad stuff to eat. One day at time or should I say one shake at a time....

I feel full, but i don't know if it's the gas or if it's what i'm drinking. I have to learn how to separate the two. I try not to read so many conflicting post cause I know I will be confused. But I just have to get the gas out, then I can begin to learn what fullness and the band should feel like
