Well!!!!!!!I don't know about ya'll, but I hvent been able to log in for over a week! something is wrong with my password, and they finally gave me a loooong number and said I could change it, but it won't change and ooohhh. Well any way, I congratulate everyone and support everyone and yahoo everyone while i am logged on. I didn't even know I had a catheter, they must have put it in and taken it out while I was asleep, and I had no problems peeing either. Jeez guys, your having a $30,000 sports car put in your belly (as Hoff would say) and your worried about a itzy bitzy cath. How many of you have had a child....anyhoo, that is the least of our worries, we are woman and we are strong. right????? love to you all and I only hope I can log in tomorrow so I can chit chat with you wonderful girls again. Oh My God, I had no idea. I heard everyone talking about sliming, drooling, and PB's, but it never happened to me till today. I thought I was going to die. It hurt so bad, and I was drooling slime and then threw up.. I don't think I will ever eat another brussel sprout ever!!!!!!!! Well, at least now I know I have restiction. By the way, hello to everyone and I hope I didn't gross anyone out too much.

Dear lol, I never met you online, but congrats to you for your wt loss. I also wanted to ask you something I've been wondering about... What happens when there is no more room in the band for future fills, I just had my second fill, and I know there is a fourteen cc band and we only have a 10 cc... will we need more than that in the future since i heard the band can get looser as we lose wt.????? Some one let me know. How much is put in during surgery? good luck everyone who has surgery coming up!!!!

I was also told could not give an appt. but they called me today and said it is in the mail. Whats going on in that office anyway, it's always a mess. waited 1 1/2 hrs to see the doc yesterday...

Val, I got my second fill yesterday, and no one has ever told me to go on liquids and then mushees, and Dr. Hoffman is my doc too. I feel a little queezy today and tired. I felt nothing with my first one. How do you feel, and how much did he put in, He only gives me 1.5cc at a time....

hi China, no unfortunately I live in lancaster, but if I can I will be at the next support group. Hope most of us will be there so we can all meet. I got my second fill today, 1.5cc the Hoff said he wants to fill small amounts 8 weeks apart so we can adjust to the south beach diet and lifestyle. oh well, I think I could adjust More If I was restricted more!!! we'll see.............

I am going for my second fill tomorrow, and hope it does something, because i also am getting frustrated and wondering if all this was for nothing. I was banded on june 9, and have lost 20 lbs, but I am also doing atkins and not cheating. well heck, I did that before the surg. good luck to all and I will keep you all posted on restriction after the second fill.

Congrats China!!! The beginning is so exciting, I was there only a few short months ago. I am also going to be there tomorrow, as I am getting my second fill by the Hoff. Wow, I'm so glad I found someone elso who had endometrial ablation, I had it in March 07, and didn't bleed for a year, then in April 08, It came back and it has gotten heavier ever month, but not as bad as pre-op. however, it lasts for about 3 weeks then gone for 1 just like i have a normal cycle but lasts 2 weeks too long. I am going to be 52 in november, you would think someone would cut me a break huh?

How is everyone, haven't been able to write anything significant for a while. I took my other half to the Hoff yesterday to have a cyst removed, he told me to come tuesday at noon and he will give me my second fill, I hope it makes a difference since I can eat just about as much as I ever did, but I am following Phase1 of south beach so tha is what is giving me the slight wt. loss. It is getting increasingly more difficult to stop myself from overeating, so I hope this works. How is everone else doing, I coudn't make the support group yesterday cause i had to take care of my other. Did anyone go and if so how was it and how many people showed. was the Hoff there and what was it like? I hope to get to the next one, start water therapy on Tues. Also, maybe that will make a difference inthe wt. loss too.

I purchased a book called Weight loss and the adjustable gastric band by Robert Sewell, I also got the south beach quick and easy cook book. take a look and see what you think.

Please be careful with the papaya tabs cause my m.d. said it doesn't know the difference between the meat you ate and your own flesh!!!! you don't want it eating a whole in your esophogus or stomach...

Shar, they can't tell you what to do in a situation like this, I would probably just ad a few calories, and try to stabelize your wt. what is the NB diet, I can't figure it out. good luck, and don't worry too much, that may be why your losing also..

Hi guys, just checking my ticker only lost 2 lbs, sigh, be worse it could have gone up 2lbs. it just seems so slow, I feel like i lost more just dieting alone. oooohhhh, don't listen to me, I never would have lost this much alone..............

Dear wanda, I also had a dvt last year from a heart procedure, and I am still on blood thinners and had a filter put in cause it went to my lung. I have very bad knees and back, so i am doing Water therapy. I don't think it is helping me lose wt, but i feel stronger cause I couldn't excersize for a long time and really still can't. but I am hoping the band will prevail. I had my first fill on july 15 1.5cc, and have only lost a few pounds and I am very strict with the adkins diet right now. I keep hearing about the "sweet spot", AND am hoping i get it soon I feel like you, like I'm doing it on my own.... good luck to you, and watch your diet...

mary, I would definetly call your dr., I am on coumadin (blood thinner), and I had very limited bruising. It may be nothing, but I would call just to make sure. vicki

Hey Judy, good to here from you, i also went to the fair and your absolutely right, It was different without the food, saved alot of money, but was sure tempted. I had chicken fingers, was a little worried about the batter, but sometimes you just have to make the "best" choice. Are you going to be at the next support meeting? let me know, I would luv to meet you...

I hope to attend the meeting this month, but my other half is having a procedure done by the Hoff, not lapband and I am not sure if I can make it, It is the same day as the meeting, but I will shoot for it...
