  1. Well guys I just got back from apnea care and the good news is they had to lower my titration due to wt loss, but I have to go for another sleep test grooooaaaan.. the bad news is not only did I not lose any weight for 4 weeks, I got up this a.m. and gained 3 lbs. I can't wait to see the Hoff on tues, I feel like I never got the band, I'm starving. I h ope there is nothing wrong. Has anyone gone throught this or know anyone. Hellllllllllp!
  2. great judy, let me know..and thanx for all your input.
  3. One more thing if anyone can help, Dr. Hoffman told me He doesn't even require the vitamins, and so I stopped, and now my hair is falling out, and sometimes like bloom, I feel really dragged out. Could it be a vitamin deficiency, or not enough carbs for energy? Any clues?
  4. you know Judy, I think you may be right, maybe my body needs a jolt of good old fashioned carbs. I think I'm going to mix it up abit and do phase 2. couldnt hurt i'm not losing now anyway.. I know your not eating it all in one shot but boy pizza sure does sound good to me. and a bagel with cream cheese.
  5. Yes, unfortunatly, Judy is correct, we can only be filled up to 10cc so my thought was what if i get to 10cc and it wears off like the last 3 did. I feel full for about a week, and then its like i never had a fill. Also, Yes I never thought it would happen to me, but I do get cold now and I NEVER get or got cold ever. so there is hope for all us woman going through menapause and hot flashes... Judy, I can't believe you eat all that and lose wt. I am still doing Phase 1 and have not dropped a lb in a month..Hats off to you girl.. I also excersize, so I guess it is the pateau everyone talks about... It sucks.
  6. Pb's or productive burping is when there is too much food in your esophogus and when you try to burp, the chewed food comes up/ different than throwing up, cause it hasn't gotten to your stomach yet. and sliming is when you eat to much and get the pain, your esophogus produces slime (mucus) to help it slide down easier. I know now cause it happened to me once. I think you have to experience it to understand it, I did...
  7. Judy , My appt is at 1:30. and I am afraid I will run out of fills before I lose the wt.
  8. yes, she did lose 107 lbs she looks awsome, but she is a bit nervous but her docs tell her not to worry that she is fine. I would love to lose 107 lbs, but not in three months, i can't imagine. also remember she had bypass, not the band. Czar, I here you,, I haven't lost anything in four weeks, this is the first time this has happened to me. I have not changed anything and I too am going on the 7th and hope a fill will jump start me again. when do these fills end, and whe do they only last a few weeks? I don't get it, I like you am just going on pure willpower and south beach phase 1. I thought we were suppose to eat normal, just less of it. I've lost this and more weight on diets. I want to be able to eat every thing, just less of it...
  9. Yes they do do lap band they hired a Dr. in feb or mar. My friend also had gastric bypass there june 1st, 1 week before i had lapband and has lost 107 lbs. she loves the md's there and there program....vicki china, congrats, and keep up the good work...
  10. I'm not sure how I gained all that weight, but after the surgery, i did not feel any different after the first week. I was told i had no restriction or fill by the nurse, and i believed her. I still feel as though i can eat alot, maybe i should right everything down, I hope i'm not eating alot....ooohhhhh I cant stop thinking about food and fills and restrictions, and carbs. I think were in it for the long haul as far as having it on our minds allllllllll the time.
  11. Way to go Bloom!!! congrats.... As for the program at BGH, I waited 6 months to get into the seminar in March, and couldn't get anyone to call me back EVER! I just had to wait it out, cause Sister's did not do banding then, now tgey do have a dr. who bands..I heard they were interviewing dr.s at BGH for the new position, but don't know if they have a potential or not. I also agree that everyone is told something different there cause Kim told me at my one week i had no fill at all and not to worry about stretching cause there was nothing to stretch and when the Hoff came back from out of town, he went wild. He was pi**ed off and didn't try to hide it, and by the way, I lost 10 lbs the first week and put on 7 lbs by the time Hoff got back cause i figured since i had no fill and was told it was time for healing and not losing wt., i might as well eat...so try to get your info from the hoff himself. talk to you guys later..vicki p.s. I am at my first plateau, haven't lost anything in 3 weeks! any advice. I'm doing water arobics and some walking...
  12. YES, IT IS TRUE, IT HURTS LIKE THE DEVIL, BUT IT WILL GO AWAY, I PROMISE.
  13. Cool, your not far either, maybe we could meet sometime for coffee or something..
  14. bloom, This is normal pain from the gas, and it can last for a couple weeks, but usually gets gradulally better. I sympathise with you cause I think that pain was worse than the incisions. I also had a bruise under the port, and still after 3 months have tenderness at the port site. My port really protrudes does anyone elses? good luck bloom, someone told me gas x helps with the pain and moving around will help the gas move to an exit if you know what i mean lol.....
  15. also close in wt. and wt to go. ha ha! vicki

  18. congrats Bloom, I know you are flying high now that it us over. Now, you just wait for the lbs to melt off..the most comes off the first 6 weeks, or my did anyway. I'm glad your home and everything went well. good luck vicki

  22. that is one of the problems i deal with everyday also, I am so damn thirsty all the time. I usually drink right up till i eat cause I know I have to wait but sometimes like you said my body needs the fluids..
  23. I will ask for you, can't wait to meet you!
  24. I hear you judy, we are all probably used to failing at our weight loss attempts and were probably all paranoid. I will do like you said and write it down, and I have to remember to chew more, I keep forgetting.
  25. P.S.S. I feel like I can eat a lot of food. and is meatballs and meatloaf bad cause i've been eating those? and alot of pistachios, I'm hungry every couple hrs....I am so scared I will run out of room to fill my band before I get to sweet spot, or will get there lose a few lbs and the band gets lose. Also, is anyones port sticking out and hurting after meals?????
