  1. So my doctor never put me on a post diet. He said eat what ever you want.

your gonna lose weight. April 12th and I’m a hundred pounds down. My goal is ten more pounds. but I haven’t lost any weight in 6 weeks.
I can eat a whole sandwich. But then I’m stuffed.

im active but I don’t go to the gym.
seems like everyone but me had a good plan for post op

Thank you for your suggestions. The difference in program guidelines tells me that there is not necessarily only one way to do the stages. That actually makes me feel better, lol. Going shopping now!

My dr said the same thing. Week two I started mash potatoes by the end of the week I was able to grind real food in our magic bullet. Week three a started to get real food fish, hamburger with cheese. No bread yet. I eat very small portions and only twice a day. Still drinking Protein Shakes. I haven’t had any problems getting my Water in. I keep a bottle of water on me.

    Hello all,

This week is the 3 week mark for several of us who had surgeries the first week of April. How are the 3 week folks doing?

Today is my 3 week mark. I'm returning to work today, but just working a half day to see how I feel and how my energy level is at work. So, a test run. I started soft foods a day early just so I would not be having day 1 of it at work with possible vomiting or diarrhea, that would not be fun. I tried a half scrambled egg with a little milk and little reduced fat cheese to make it softer. No issue. I also tried 1.5 ounces of chicken salad. No issue with either. I only put a tiny bit on the tip of my spoon. Maybe the amount you give a baby or less and chewed and chewed.

So, how are the 3 week folks doing?

Good morning from texAs. I had surgery

    sleeve on 4/12

i started eggs and mash potatoes stage two last week once a day. Started full soft foods yesterday.
I have a lot more energy now.
but I haven’t lost any weight in three days. I’m not at all over eating.
And I’m down 46 pounds since pre op diet.
driving made me sick to my stomach last week. I’ve only thrown up once.
I do wake up a little sick to my stomach everyday. Over all I’m doing pretty well.
hope all goes well on your soft food and work.
Thanks for letting me ramble on

I had my surgery on Friday and I’m still the same weight I was on surgery day. Is this normal to not see results yet?

Me! Mine was 04/16! I’m struggling pretty good since. I can’t get myself out of bed hardly and I can’t bend over at all. I’m a mom of 7 and this STINKS!

I had a hard time my first 5 days.I couldn’t roll over. It was hard to sleep.
lots of walking helped. And drink ensures your body needs Protein .
keep reading the post here. Best support team Atleast for me

good luck. Hope you feel better soon

    Hello everyone!
I’m scheduled for a gastric bypass on 4/26 so a week from tomorrow! I’m excited but also very nervous to the point that I’m second guessing if I selected the right choice. Has this happened to anyone? I want to point out that I didn’t get this anxious/nervous until a few days ago as the date gets closer.

I’ve been doing my pre-op diet since last Monday, which is basically low carb-low fat.
I enjoy the premier Proteins and that is the only Protein Shakes that I’ve used so far, but I hear it might be a good idea to stock on unflavored and clear Protein as well.

    Any word of advice?

I got super nervous a week before my surgery. I had the sleeve done on 4/12

    I think it’s probably normal

Thankfully I didn’t have to do the liquid diet pre-surgery. I had the sleeve on 4/5 and today was my first follow up post op and it was awesome. He stopped me a tad early from liquids now off to purée. I had dumping too from the broth, I tried the cream Soups and they worked great! I also started drinking my fluids room temperature and that too helped with the dumping. 6 days no dumping now - give it a try it may work for you. Oh and I lost 18lbs already. I’m so happy great start. Praying for you and hope you find a way to stop the dumping I know it’s awful.

    What is “dumping”

I had my surgery the same day as yours. I feel pretty good, but am very tired. Not at all hungry. Didn't have any gasping issues either. So far so good!

    Hi Karla

I feel pretty good. Do you still have gas pains ? I still have some on my right side.
I am hungry. Havn’t had any issues drinking

  9. I had my surgery “sleeve” done on the 12th
mom not having any problems drinking Water. All though I’m learning to drink slower. I’m on day 4 post surgery. And I still have pain on my right side. right at the rib cage could that still be gas ? It hurts not go to the hospital hurt. But I definitely can’t sleep on my right side

    thanks
