Another option for the Protein is the clear Protein Drinks. I found a good one in lemon flavor on Amazon that iced down is very good. You get 20 grams of Protein in 16 ounces. It is called READY protein. I use it when I am not feeling like drinking a shake which is more and more the norm lately.

I throw Premier Protein in my afternoon iced coffee like Creamer to help me out too.

I really just started being hungry in the last week or two. I had the surgery on 8/31/21 and went a few weeks with little hunger. Now, I could eat every hour on the hour if I followed my hunger feelings. I think it is hunger, but not 100% sure from reading all these posts who insist it is not hunger....not sure what it is but it feels like I am hungry. I try drinking Water but it does not make the feeling go away.

I know I have read alot of stuff about being head hungry and not stomach hungry. I don't know if this is solid advice or will even help but when I am combating hunger I eat a sugar free popsicle and it helps me thru so much.

So happy to see everyone doing so well! I had my sleeve on June 16. I am down approximately 33 lbs. My weight loss has slowed to a crawl but I am 5'1" and alot older than most people so for me, this is good. I have been experiencing excruciating hunger pains for some time. The first 6 - 8 weeks was the worst. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I'm going through some sort of "withdrawal" symptoms. Definitely not fun!

I know my emotions and hormones were all over the place. It is for sure one tough journey.

I assure you I wasn't bring condescending. please don't assume. You replied to my comment sir. People are on different journies here. Congratulations on being so healthy before surgery. You follow your path and I will follow mine . I just know weighing yourself and focusing on a number will lead to mental health issues. Look around here and many support groups. Have a blessed day and good luck on your journey!

I get what you are saying albeit a little condescending. Unlike most people who are obese, I am quite healthy. I have normal glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol. I exercise very regularly and get around seamlessly. My sole focus is getting the weight off. I am sure that will bring me long term health improvements but right now, it is the weight that is of concern. I am sure there are others like me out there as well.

The advice to not weight every day is MUCH easier said than done. The whole focus of our lives right now is weight loss, so not checking weight is worse than being hungry and sitting in front of a hot cheesy delicious pizza and not atleast smelling it and thinking about a slice.....not going to happen and you have to give in and weigh yourself.

I myself and plenty of people I know weigh once a week. I mean if your whole focus in life is just weight you might need to rethink things. I am more excited about being healthy , fitting in new clothes, weight is a number.

  7. 1st of all cograts on the loss so far. 30 pounds that quick is pretty remarkable. I am 6 weeks out and I am only down a little over 30 since surgery. What was your suegery weight. 2nd I had this conversation with my doc Tuesday. Her advice was focus on non scale victories and that everyone will have stalls. She advised me not to weigh everyday or I would not focus on my weight loss with the correct mindframe.

6 days post op and still haven’t pooped. Anyone help plz???? Is this ok? When u have one finally does it hurt? I just took myralax to help. I had rny done and I’m still in a lot of pain from my left insicion site. So hard to push out.

I went day 7. It wasn't terrible but not great. My doctor has me on Miralax plus colace twice a day and I have been going regularly since the 1st one.

Thank you so much! Does anyone else have like 2 incisions that are wayyy more painful than the rest? Two of mine hurt real bad when I stand up and move alot. I'm trying to get my walking in but I literally have to hold my stomach with my hands real tight in order to not hurt bc it literally feels like my muscles are just tearing apart! I can't even get into my own bed still. I'm basically living in my livingroom on my recliner. I want to sleep in my bed on my side so bad but I tried the other day and omg I thought I was gonna die trying to get up! My dr said that I just basically pulled my muscles in my stomach and that I will eventually be ok lol. Also, he told me how I should be losing 3 lbs a week at this point. I sure hope so lol bc I've only lost 12 lbs so far so I hope I keep losing🙏🤞 And my dr said how he wants me to be walking 10miles I almost fell of the table lol 😆 but I know I know it's a lifestyle change so I gotta just stay positive and try n try n try bc I gotta get healthy so I can get back to work! I will be praying for everyone on here for a quick recovery!

Yes 2 of mine are the same. I finally slepted in my bed a week after surgery. I'm 2 weeks out still sore especially when I drive.

I am 6 days post-op and just stumbled across this site. I've been looking around for about an hour and decided to sign up. And to think I sat at the computer to find a good stool softener for gastric bypass patients. I still don't have a definitive answer for that question (although about 30 possibilities), but now I have this resource. Funny how things work.

my surgeon put me on Miralax packs and colace 2 times a day. So far so good im 10 days post op

I have heard that some people gain. It's normal. I follow this one girl on YouTube and she recommended not getting on the scale at all for the first couple of weeks and I think I might do that because I didn't lose anything for a couple of days and now I'm down 2 lb. Yes it can be disheartening.

I weighed day 3 after surgery and cried like a baby. The next day I was down 4, 3 the next and 2 today. it will happen!

I'm not allowed to have anything other than Protein Shakes, waters, Jello and sugar free popsicles. The one thing I am surprised about (and I can't understand why I'm surprised) is how hungry I am! I'm on day 5 post-op and each day is better. I'm really looking forward to being healthy!

oh ok I know each program is different! I'm thankful for yogurt and broth!!

I had my surgery on June 17. Just trying to get my Protein in . I start my full liquid tomorrow. The pain is like a 3 from a scale of 1-10. I only have a little bit of gas .

What did u all drink during full liquids?

Are we able to have any Soup as long as it’s blended and strained?

I had hi Protein yogurt and ordered some egg drop Soup and strained it real good and mixed in unflavored protein. Also depending on my Protein Shakes. I has surgery the 16th

My insurance pre approved and I had to go thru all the testing. After the testing they have to resubmit your rsults to the insurance for final approval. Once I finishied all my testing it was a week before my pre op appt and surgery was scheduled 3 weeks later. It took my insurance company 1 week to give final approval for surgery.

I'm going to Blossom too. Surgery is 6/15. I will keep you posted. I love the blogs but have to admit they have given me some anxiety too. I want to heat the good and the bad, but some of the "worst pain ever" and regret ones are freaking me out.

Lol im with you there!! I'm like oh no don't freak me out !! 🤣🤣

Yes! I am scheduled for June 16. Started the pre-op diet yesterday. Today is not going well but this has to be done. I like to put positive thoughts in my head like: in 12 days I will start my second chance at the rest of my life
