Finally an answer to all that I went through. I have this band and went through some hard times thinking I had failed cause I lost and regained. Boy I wish I would have had something like this earlier. I finally have found some restriction with 4 cc fill which was done about 1 month ago. I plan on going back soon. Then I read somewhere that you could only put 5 cc in my band. But from what I read that must not be true and it has given me hope! Thank you for starting this thread.:clap2:

I was filled on August 4th and for the 1st time I have felt restriction! It is wonderful!! I am wondering when you are too tight , do you have trouble even with a big gulp of water? It seems to get stuck, I know if sounds crazy cause in the Drs. office the water went down just fine. I am wondering if I am too tight and what is the best way to handle it if that is the case. Should I go on liquids? Also, I worry I may not be eating enough, yes , can you believe it! Wow what a change! I take protien but worry about the hair loss. Any help you can give me is appreciated!:help:

I love food too but my main reason I believe I overeat is to numb feelings. I am an emotional eater. I feel like food was my best friend, now I am trying to become my own best friend!

Dont feel depressed. I understand completely!!! I had surgery in March too. I lost about 18 and now have gained it all back! I know how you feel. I had the surgery thinking that by the time my 30th yr. reunion came around I would have lost a lot of weight, boy was I wrong. So I didn't go to the reunion. I have felt the same way, it worked for everyone else but me. However, I refuse to give up. Hang in there, dont be hard on yourself. Your time will come. And as for the age difference. I had the same problem only it was not a problem. My boyfriend could care less about me being older! Go to the wedding have fun. Just keep your head up!

Well saddly I am a member, I had surgery on Mar 06 lost 18 lbs and have gained it all back. I have had 2 fills. Maybe I am just one of those people it does not work for. :phanvan

I was banded on 3/9. Finally I can sleep on my left side! I haven't lost that much but am waiting for my 1st fill on 4/21. when i left the hospital i thought i would never get to the point of sleeping on my left side and more importantly the pain on my left side ending. it still bugs once in a while but nothing like before. I went back to work in a week. i was tired but it was better the 2nd week. Hang in there.

I did my lapband on March 9th. I too am having pain where the port is. it is getting better, but my hunger is coming back too. i am sure it will get better, but it has been a bit difficult

I was banded on March 9th. My problem is the pain at the port site. How long did it take to recover from the surgery?:help:

Carola, how are you doing? I bet you are so excited, maybe a little anxious. write if you can. I will be thinking of you. My surgury is March 9th , I have to be there at 6 a.m.

I have my preop on Friday and will find out everything. Keep me informed. it is so nice to have someone who understands!
