  1. I wore the clothes I wore home (with fresh undies of course) and stayed in the gown the whole time with a pair of men’s pajama pants underneath (since the hospital gown is open in the back). I had similar concerns about a bra and bright a sports bra with me but between all the tubes and wires they attach to you making it seem like a puzzle and just being tired I honestly didn’t care so I never put it on. Also, one of the incisions is pretty close to where your bra band could rub it. I took a small duffel bag with my phone and iPad (with a ten foot charging cord), extra undies and toiletries. You may want dry Shampoo if your hair gets oily because you won’t be able to shower right away. I was able to go home the next day thankfully because mine is a hot mess if I don’t wash it every day.

  2. All insurance is different. Mine accepted medical records from another doctor prior to satisfy part of the required visits. That’s a question for the bariatric coordinator I believe. Ooh, and it’s six visits not six months (at least it was for mine) so that only takes five months from your first visit. Hopefully that will help. I had one visit with my primary doctor that qualified so I had to do 5 visits taking 4.5 months from first appointment to surgery date.

My heels aren’t crazy rough anymore! I used to have to used a pumice stone on them several times a week between pedicures and even then they never looked great. No idea why being heavy would = dry, crusty heels but it has completely resolved. Yay for feet that look good in sandals!

It could also be that you are focused more on Water if you weren’t before.

I actually just got a new DL and am waiting to get my passport back - I was so much heavier in my pictures and I was afraid, especially with the passport, that I’d have trouble going anywhere because that doesn’t look remotely like me now!

That was smart. Last thing you want is a reason to get held up while traveling.
