    Help with Vitamins

They are once a day multivitamin and they include your iron. I was also advised to take calcium citrate as well. I took the bariatric advantage chews for calcium in the beginning but later switched to an over the counter brand of calcium citrate that is a large pill.

    Help with Vitamins

For the first couple days you will definitely be taking small sips so you may want to go the chewable route if you don’t think you can swallow a pill that way. I found the bariatric advantage chewables to be tolerable. I switched to pro care health capsules soon after I was sure I could swallow them though because they aren’t cheap. I got samples from my nutritionist. I believe if you contact them they will send you samples through the mail.

    Dating

Omg I can’t even imagine dating at this point in my life. I have so many little things I don’t like about my body. If I could afford plastics I would be doing that as soon as they would let me. I’m sure that it’s pretty uncomfortable for anyone that’s not in their 20’s anymore though. Surgery or not. Most of us have our little hang ups over our bodies. But I’m sure if it was a serious relationship you would go places that required less clothes so slowly your secret would be let out even if you didn’t tell. Like if you went to the beach especially.

    Vitamins

Yea I don’t have any issues with constipation or anything else you mentioned. I’m pretty sure 45mg is where my clinic starts most people though. It’s in a book that they gave me in the very beginning that unless told otherwise we needed 45mg.

    Vitamins

Well I’m not anemic or anything and I was told to take 45mg but I’m 16 months out and labs are still great so I guess I needed it then.

    Trt - testosterone replacement therapy

Well they changed the Home Screen I think. At least for The version you get on your phone and I can’t seem to find the old page that lists the forums first and then the threads. I hope they change it back. I just have to be more careful in the mean time.

    RNY foodies?

Of course you can still enjoy cooking anything but why not challenge yourself to make healthier versions of things that still taste great. I for one would love to hear of any recipes you come up with

    Trt - testosterone replacement therapy

So sorry to reply to this in the guys room. I was in recent topics and did not realize it was guys only. 🙊
  10. Slider foods seem to go right through us and don’t fill us up. For me it’s things like chips and popcorn I could seemingly eat an entire bowl without getting full. I didn’t realize that bread would be a slider food for anyone since bread actually sits so heavy for many people (it’s just normal for me) but we are all different I guess??
  11. Oh wow. I thought I was bad. Hopefully they grew out of it.
  12. Hummmm. Not sure if I could get past the black noodles. (Im like a kid I swear) I do like black soy beans though so I bet it’s good. Maybe a blindfold. Lol

    Tracy's Journey

Congratulations on your loss. I haven’t yet shopped from the bariatric pal store. I do buy low calorie snacks from the grocery store that are empty calories though and have them on occasion. It’s obviously better if you can find ones you like with protein added so it actually fills you up. Keep up the good work.

    Losing more weight NOT exercising???

I was told that exercise is important for your overall health and to aid in keeping weight off but it doesn’t really contribute THAT MUCH to weight loss. The biggest majority is diet. Perhaps you ate less while you had company and maybe you even did more activity around the house or around town than you normally do because you had company? I honestly don’t know, just speculating??

    Vitamins

Hummmm. This sorta makes you wonder why they recommend 45mg for someone with no issues with iron to begin with. I bet the excess is like so many vitamins that we just pee it away. That would make it easier for them to just go with the higher dose for everyone.

    Today's the Day!

Just be sure to remember the lifting restrictions going through those boxes. I know because I did the exact same thing as you. Only I got so excited and into it that I forgot and picked up a pretty heavy bin. Thankfully I was fine but it could have been a huge mistake had I twisted differently or something. Not sure how you remember to not forget, lol. Just be extra careful I guess. 👍

    Trt - testosterone replacement therapy

I don’t know much about TRT but the greater fool has a point of it is in pill form you may want to consider sleeve because that causes much less issues with absorption. That’s why I chose it, in fact. Because according to my team some people have issues with meds that aren’t even extended release with bypass. It’s far less common but if you have meds that you know you need and no other medical reason to choose one surgery over the other, as was my case, then the sleeve is the more conservative option.
  18. I have an adjustable bed and I always sleep with my head sorta elevated and I’m certain that helped getting in and out of bed. A wedge pillow would do the same thing I would think.

    Wish you knew before surgery…

maybe ask your team to ask around and give your number to someone who can use them.

    Weight loss pre-op

If they told you not to lose alot more during your last appointment though it must mean your requirements are different. I just don’t want to mess you up.

    Vitamins

Do you take an additional iron supplement with that? Have you had labs?? I think that taking the lower iron dose like that would help a lot of people who have issues with it but would worry that their iron may get low if they didn’t take a separate dose of iron.

    Just found this app.

Hello and welcome. You will be glad you found this app. People are so nice and helpful here. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow.

    Hair loss help?

So far after 16 months I haven’t heard of anything that really works. Lots of stuff out there will make the new hair grow in strong and healthy but nothing stops the accelerated loss or speeds up the new growth. I was one of The lucky few that didn’t experience hair loss but if I did I planned to invest in some new extensions. I have had them in the past and they are actually kinda fun. I asked my hairdresser what to buy then took them back to her to teach me how to put them in. This was years ago so they have probably changed but I suggest looking into them. Mine just clipped in.

    Weight loss pre-op

your insurance requirements could be different but according to my team it didn’t matter how much I lost after my weigh in at the pre op appointment because anything I lost after that would be assumed to be from the pre op diet (since I wasn’t weighed again).

    Bariatric Tampa

I don’t have experience with either clinic but I can tell you that many of us have to do the six months of supervised weight loss to meet insurance requirements. Although some do not have to, hopefully you are one one of the lucky ones. Although don’t rush it too much. There is quite a bit to figure out along the way and it’s sorta nice to have a few visits to get your questions answered to feel better prepared.
