@Creekimp13 Yeah I'm allowed to have regular fruit juice, popsicles, and jell-o. I generally choose sugar free jell-o and popsicles, but I think the fruit juice gives me a tiny boost that I need and I'm not normally a juice drinker. I am feeling really foggy and fatigued, but I'm only on day 2, so I have hopes it will get better.

@newyorklady20 I am super fatigued and my head is pounding! But knowing that it should go away is helpful. I feel like I've been run over by a truck and haven't slept in days... that is crazy considering I've been on liquids 1.5 days! I am looking forward to some "euphoria" feelings haha. Also, I am not allowed to take ibuprofen anymore per my surgeon's orders - no ibuprofen 2 weeks before surgery. :(

@jnfinney how are you feeling now? Any better? I keep getting dizzy and headaches but they come and go. My doctor has me on an 800 cal diet and allows 2 Protein Shakes in the day, a cup of fruits or vegetables in the day and the 3oz chicken, 1 serving of a whole grain and 1 cup of vegetables for dinner.

  2. My surgery is march 25 2021, i hadnt even thought of gas pain! Thank you for all the advice, I am adding chewable gasx to my shopping list. I am going today to stock up so I can quarantine from here on out. So excited and scared all at once!

I am only 3mo post op and I saw the difference in my progress photos today and wanted to share - just my belly - I think it is 1 week post op vs 3 months. I am a slow loser, or more of a staller dropper (I have had a stall of at least 14 days all three months lol) so taking photos really helps me!

Girl! You are so awesome! You really motovate me, I hope more people post progress photos like this! My surgery is on 3/25/21 I really hope to see these kind of results! Keep kicking Ass!

  4. I started my preop diet last week. It is for 4 weeks, a Protein Shake in the am and I can have a cup of fruit or veggies, then lunch is the same Protein shake and a cup of veggies or fruit. dinner 3 oz lean white meat, a cup of veggies and a serving of whole grains. I can also have a snack of low fat cheese anywhere in there. The hardest part I have is the Protein Shakes. But I am just forcing myself. I have lost 5lbs in this week so it definitely motivated me to stay on the diet. But man does my head hurt and energy is low. I tend to choose to eat veggies rather than fruits because of the calorie count. The diet is meant to be 800-1200 calories per day. I have sat at 950 to 1100 calories pretty much the whole week. But I have set a goal of 800 to 900 for this week for myself. Surgery is in 22 days and I am excited and scared all at once. I am so glad I found this sight because it really helps to remind myself that I am not alone!#wegotthis
