Try This
3/4 cup of Libby's pineapple juice
1/4 cup of Water (warmed in the microwave for about 20seconds)
Mixed in 1 scoop of Genepro (the GENEPRO mixes better in a warm liquid)
Combined and poured that in to my popsicle molds.
Very good and helps me get my Protein in
Hope this helps
Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile appThank you ! Can’t wait to try

Alittle scary, considering the cravings (sacrifices) I have had to repeatedly push down. After losing weight so rapidly within the first 2 weeks, this is a bit upsetting. I want to desperately get out of the 300s.
I feel the same. I started working out and I’m walking religiously and this scale is STUCK! I just want out these 200s.

So far I’ve lost 20lbs pounds, however on 4/6, I weighed myself and the scale indicated I gained a pound (yikes ), yesterday 4/7, it remained at the 1 pound gain and this morning 4/8 it still remained at the one pound gain, however I peed and stripped myself naked and it went down some ounces for a pound difference. I haven’t ate anything out the norm of tuna or salmon with pumpkin or avocado puréed. Anyone experienced this? Or have advice?
Yup! I’n the same damn boat . On 3 weeks haven’t gained but haven’t lost a single lb and it’s driving me crazy! All I’m eating is tuna and salmon as well! I heard it’s normal for a stall hope it ends soon!

I am just looking for suggestions and here to help anyone I can also. I have found a lot of my supplements on this site. I bought the wild cherry Calcium which I had a hard time with so I switched over to chewable caltrate instead and that is much smaller and settles in my new little sleeve well. I use Fairlife Protein Shakes that are 30 grams Protein and they go down okay, a little sweet since surgery. But I have had a little intestinal upset from them. I also have IBS which they hoped this surgery might help settle but no luck so far. I do have herbalife as an option but am wondering if anyone else has experience with that after surgery or if they found a Protein Shake that they liked after surgery? I'm also looking for any drink mixes that have Protein added like fruit punch or fruit flavored? I did try one of Premier Protein drinks but was not a fan of the flavor before surgery, may be okay after but haven't dared to try. I have been able to eat Greek yogurt fine but slowly. Also some sugar free pudding. chicken broth has been amazing and the other night I tried wonton Soup broth from my local Chinese restaurant and that was an amazing change up from the usual. Hope this helps some of you too.
Pure Protein has a strawberry milkshake one that goes down smooth for me. About the only one I can tolerate at this point. And no sugar applesauce has been my life savor

I agree I can’t tell when I’m full and I also get the same feeling. Some days I feel like I’m never full. I’m so lost. Tomorrow starts purée for me

The worst part is instead of giving us a plain cheeseburger with ketchup like we ordered for my picky 6 year old, they put bacon, onion, etc. so my husband went BACK through the drive through AND we threw the first one away. My husband didn’t have the heart to eat it in front of me.
Two more weeks of liquid and then I’m going to have the best tasting single scrambled egg in the world!!!!
I’m on my last week of liquid. Almost 2 weeks post op and I’m dreaming about tuna lol I can’t wait to just eat something . My boyfriend has the nerve to ask me to cook 🙄

I am two weeks and 1 day post op and feeling really good. My stomach still makes these sounds like a cat being tortured lol I am eating a bit more now and enjoying it. I get really full, really fast so my one or two bites are enjoyable.
Hey! Glad to hear you’re doing well. I’m 1 week and 1 day post op and I feel ok. No pain just a lot of head hunger can’t wait for purée the stage.

I've walked; attempted to lay on my side and nothing. I burped a little but nothing significant from either end. Someone, PLEASE help!
Honestly all I can says is walk more. Have you taken any chewable gas x?
-
All of you guys are making me look bad. lol I’m 4 days post op and I’ll be lucky to get 16oz down it’s been a struggle for me but I haven’t been using my Water bottle. I’m going to try that.

I’m a few days post op and I’m finding it very hard to get my Protein. Since popsicles are the only thing I can really tolerate. Anybody ever tried making protein popsicles ? I found a recipe on google I was going to try or does anyone have a recipe.

I was told I could do walking as soon as I was up for it (I had to spend two weeks in quarantine after my surgery) I wore a path around my house and garden. Weights not for at least six weeks from memory and then only light weights to start.
Thanks ! Same walking is acceptable just don’t over do it.

How long after you had procedure did you start working out. I know it’s way too early for me start. I’ve just been doing it so much before surgery and I don’t want to lose that motivation.

I understand cause I’m 2 days post op and I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck ! I’m so sore even my damn neck hurt. I can’t wait til I feel a lil better

I’ll check in again later- so sleepy!Glad you’re home and not doing so bad. I’m being released today they made me drink 24oz of Water in order to be released. I have one more 8oz bottle of water left.

8 hours ago, SunnyinSC said:I'm throwing this here cause it's more of a rant than a question. Just wanna complain to some people who may get it. To get it out of the way, I am not mad at the psychologist, or the clinic or anything like that. I understand why I need more therapy prior to getting surgery and I fully agree that addressing problematic behaviors is important for long term success. The support of bariatric psychologists and support groups is why I decided to go with a hospital close to me that offers that stuff as part of the program instead of going to Mexico where it'd be much much cheaper as a self pay patient.
All that being said, I can't help but feel a bit down trodden and frustrated. I go to therapy frequently, and have for years. The past few years I've felt like I was doing really well. I hadn't had any major bouts of depression or anxiety that lasted for notable periods of time. There had been a few hiccups but they were promptly addressed and such. I thought I was gonna pass this thing with flying colors. Alas, nope. My psychologist that was evaluating me asked if any of the doctors or surgeons I had visited over the years had asked about my relationship with food cause she was seeing some concerning things, and honestly they haven't. That isn't to say I haven't talked with my therapist about my weight, it's just that eating patterns and behaviors themselves weren't ever really discussed. It was more just acknowledgement that depression and anxiety had contributed to weight gain. The bariatric psychologist also stated she doesn't think my current medications are working as well as I think, and that based on what I described as "normal" eating for myself, I am self-medicating with food in addition to the medications, and she'd like to make sure that I won't spiral once that food aspect is no longer a possibility. So I am now scheduled to see a therapist who specializes in bariatric surgery and disordered eating (she doesn't think I have Binge Eating Disorder, but she does think that my eating is disordered), and we'll check in 90 days later. The psychologist did repeatedly thank me for being honest though, so there's that 😕
I had a bit of a cry session yesterday when I found out. I am continuing to remind myself that the behavior and mental support part is why I chose to go with the hospital I did over other places. This is essentially what I wanted. I don't want to fail at this. I know it'll pass and a few months (hell even a year or two) is a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of my life. It just doesn't seem that way in the moment and I'm just super bummed out.
Delayed not Denied! Everything happens for a reason I know that’s not what you want to hear but it’s not the end. In 90 days you’ll see her again and pass and be on to a better you. Sending you positive vibes

I know for me I let the problems two friends of mine had with their own surgeries stop me from getting mine for years!!! Now I'm kinda p*ssed I allowed their issues affect me all this time. I could have been long down this path years ago. Best of luck to you!!
Thank you! Did you ever decide to do it ? I’ve decided another person story isn’t mine. I will go In tomorrow with a clear mind! Faith Over Fear!
