  1. I had Nausea for almost 2 months. Everything I ate gave me a bad aftertaste too. All of this will pass! It's been 4 months since my surgery and I'm back to normal. Sent from my GM1915 using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Surgery date was 2/24 Traditional Duodenal Switch. One of my Incisions hurts like a B**** it usually hurts the most when I stand up and make certain movements. The only Relief I get is if I hold up my stomach with my hands from the bottom. It's not infected and my Dr has already seen me and told me it was the Incision where alot of Muscle and Nerves blah blah and I won't start to feel any pain relief for another week (this was 3/1) I had the Sleeve done in 2014 and never had this type of pain. Please tell me I'm not alone and tell me you had similar experience and there is a light at the end of the Tunnel very soon! My pain level is a 9-10 btw and I have high tolerance for pain. 3. Yeah my pain level was super high and horrible. Same thing for me it was the biggest incision where they pulled the stomache through as well. My other incisions were good and no major pain either. It was 3 weeks for me and finally starting to feel better. Best of Luck on your WL journey! Sent from my GM1915 using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Yep that was me for almost 3 weeks. I am finally feeling better with very little pain at times with certain movements. It felt like a burning sensation internally and it was horrible. It reminded me of my C-Section pain. I hope you recovery quickly with the pain level you have now. Best of LUCK and wishing you a Speedy Recovery! And Good Luck on your new WL journey! 5. I know exactly what you mean. I am 2.5 weeks Post-op and I get the same sharp pains as well. I also did Robotic surgery (Duodenal Switch). When I went for my first FU appt the pain was excruciating (Pain Level 9-10) the Dr said it was normal and it would take about another week before I start getting pain relief and I did. But now today my pain level has gone up a bit. I can only assume because I am being more active. I don't have another FU appt until March 30. The Dr told me it's the Muscle Fibers that is hurting me and it would take some time for it to heal. It sucks cause supposedly doing Robotic is supposed to be less pain Post-op, guess not :/ How are you feeling now? Any pain relief? Sent from my GM1915 using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Oh wow really?! Makes sense it would help with the muscles. Wow I'm gonna give that a shot. Thank you! Sent from my GM1915 using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Thank you! I also ended up wearing the Binder as well that the Hospital provided and it helped a little but not much. It took about 10 days for me to finally start feeling some pain relief finally. I'm currently 15 days post-op and my pain level will reach like a 5-6 at times but nowhere near the 9-10 I had last week. Sent from my GM1915 using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. HW: 312 SW: 300 Weight Day before Surgery: 289 GW: 150 I had Gastric Sleeve back in 2014 then got pregnant almost a year later and just did the Traditional Duodenal Switch 4 days ago. Day 2 was a little scary after eating 2 pieces of Jell-O and half of a Sugar free Popsicle I ended up throwing up 6 times but in very small portions and some blood came out as well. Did some testing after and it wasn't anything major just has to stop eating and stick to liquids a couple more days before trying anything else from Phase 1. I was supposed to go home yesterday but Dr kept me an extra day to see how I did with Phase 1 continuation and see if my white blood count came back ok cause it was slightly elevated after surgery which is normal. Blood work came back and I'm all good to go home! Yay! So my journey begins. Anyway else recently here did the Traditional Duodenal Switch in the past 3 months, how are you feeling and doing now? 9. HW: 312 SW: 300 CW: 289 GW: 150 Hi Everyone! I had Gastric Sleeve back in 2014 then got pregnant almost a year later and here I am now getting the Traditional Duodenal Switch almost 7 years later. I am currently on the Pre-op diet and down 11lbs (11 days in) I have 3 more days to go I've been doing so good sticking to it. I'd love to hear your success stories of the Traditional Duodenal Switch. How much weight did you lose within the first 3 months? I have a friend that had it done over 4 years ago and she also got pregnant a few years later and has kept the weight off. Her start weight was very close to mine. Hope to hear some of your experiences. Sent from my GM1915 using BariatricPal mobile app
