  1. I always say this, with big boobs, you can have perky or real. Gravity doesn't allow perky and real. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  2. My surgery is in 6 days, and it is planned as one surgery to remove the band and do RNY. The only way it will be two is of he gets in there and sees more scaring than he expects. (I had an egd, and all was well from the inside.) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  3. I have lost 100 pounds (and regained) in the past, and i didn't lose my boobs. When I lose weight, I actually usually go UP in the cups because the difference from band to bust is increased. However, I also don't really gain in my boobs. They are mostly breast tissue, not so much fat. On the other hand, my mother and sister are basically flat chested if they lose weight. They only have boobs when they are heavy. When you've been at a normal weight in the past, did you have large boobs? I think that is a big determining factor. 4. If you don't mind my asking, what happened that you had to have a second surgery the next day? Bless you! Glad you are starting to feel better. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

  9. Best of luck to you! A girl in my surgery group started at 446. She just had her 1 year anniversary about a month ago, and a couple of weeks ago (just past her 1 year mark) she was down to 223, exactly 1/2 of her previous weight. She's doing great, and you can too! My surgery is in 8 days. I started my preop liver shrink diet Monday, and I took before pics. I plan to also take them the day of surgery and every month thereafter in the same clothing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  10. I would think you will have to pay your deductible. Your surgeon's office should be able to help you. Also, I found my insurance company very knowledgeable and helpful as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

  15. This is actually on my surgery program dietician's list of recommeneded Protein replacements. I have both the powder and premixed in various flavors and I love it. I also drink Premier Protein ready to drink shakes because they have 30 grams vs 20. They don't taste as great, but they definitely aren't bad. Best of luck! My date is 12/15, and I started liquids today. It's almost here! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  16. Yes, call!!! I had to keep on my insurance too. I have BCBS, and it's a long story, but I had to fight my surgeon's office to even submit because they ladies in the office didn't believe I would be approved despite insurance giving me the policy requirements in writing and even calling them on 3 way. They lady at my surgeon's office thought I needed to meet initial patient requirements but I'm a revision patient. In the end, my surgeon TOLD his office manager to send it. I am a teacher and my insurance is changing in January. My main policy will be the same, but I'm losing a secondary coverage, so my out of pocket would've been really high versus none at all. Also, I am using Christmas break for recovery so I don't miss as much work. I totally understand the urgency and frustration you are going through! Remember that you are your own advocate and don't worry about pushing them. This is a service they provide and you and your employer pay for it. Get results! Best of luck and keep us posted! Prayers for you and your family. A teenager at my church a few years ago had a severe headache that lasted several days. She kept taking tylenol. Her family came to evening services without her, and when they returned home she was very ill. She had gotten worse and worse little by little and apparently the signs aren't there until it's too late or almost too late. She didn't make it. I don't say this to scare you more. (I'm so glad your sister in law went it. This girl didn't. I think her being tiny and so young didn't work in her favor.) My purpose is to reiterate how very serious this can be. People tend to think otc meds are safe not matter. They are still medication and people should take them as directed. Again, prayers for your SIL and your family! 18. Idk about that. Lol. I have Hashimotos and my thyroid is all but shot. I'm expecting to be a slow looser. If I lose faster, I'll be pleased, but I'm ok with slow loss as long as it's loss. So, I take it you are self pay? That stinks. I'm thankful for my insurance. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  19. I'm 12/15 band to bypass. How long you had your band? I got mine 7/7/09 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  20. I would live to keep in touch with you. We are almost surgery twins. Lol. Which surgery are you having? I'm band to bypass revision. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App Oh, duh, I see now this is the sleeve forum. I suppose you are having sleeve. 21. That's my date too! My preop diet starts 12/5. It's only 10 days, but it's also only full liquids, no food at all. I'm 38, but I'll be 39 on the 19th. I'm 5'3" and sitting around 268 today. I seem to stay between 265-270 for the past couple of months no matter what I do or don't do. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

  23. I throw up more days than I don't. However, my EGD was good. We aren't really sure why I have so much trouble. My band was great until I gotpregnant. I had hyperemesis and had to have a complete unfil. Since then, I've not been able to tolerate much fill at all and I throw up regularly. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
  24. I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not because I have BCBS TN, but mine took 8 days with 2 phone calls. They told me this is a very busy time of year. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
