  1. I had VSG and I was fairly strict till I reached my goal, I focused on hitting my Protein goal and drinking 2+L Water a day, I didn’t really eat bread often as it filled me too much and I steered away from too many of my ‘trigger’ foods which were candy, ice cream etc. tried to have two serves of fruit a day and eat as healthy as I could 🙂

  2. Hi there
I am 8 months PO sleeve and I seem to experience sometimes what I would think is dumping - diarrhoea, upset stomach, feeling like I have a rapid heart rate, but it only seems to occur the following morning after I have eaten. Would this be dumping syndrome or something else? I am finding I’m getting a run of upset stomachs (3-4 days in a row) sometimes without having eaten anything I think would be a trigger. Any insight Is appreciated :)

  3. It can definitely be frustrating feeling that way when you’re not expecting it! I found it difficult at the start to work out what I was feeling and I never felt ‘full’ for a while. Try to stick to your goals and drink more Protein fluids - definitely don’t push it this early with foods and stick only to your allowed list :)

  4. Good on you for being prepared and doing your research! I am 7 months post op and almost 100lb down. I have had oesophageal dysmotility post up which causes me pain with quite a bit after eating and I did suffer from Hair loss and nausea for a while. All the cons aside for me it has been totally worth it and life changing. My health has drastically improved and my food obsession is also improving! I personally would suggest psychology post op to deal with the food issues but I would absolutely do it all again :)

  5. I was sleeved in December and experienced something similar - I had a barium swallow which showed oesophageal dysmotility and I have my six month check next week with my surgeon to discuss options - it has improved with time but I would say I’m still having 2-3 bad days a week. I’m very fortunate though and haven’t thrown up - just terrible discomfort and chest pain
